Jiang Li had gone to shower about twenty minutes ago, leaving Shen Yu alone in the quiet living room, where even the ticking of the clock felt louder than usual.
The series of events replayed in his mind like an endless mantra, looping again and again without pause, refusing to settle. Every word, every expression, every moment from earlier lingered, making it impossible for him to think clearly. He sighed, dragging his hands over his face before letting out another heavier breath, his fingers pressing briefly against his eyes as if that could erase the thoughts.
He couldn't believe what he had done… how could he forgive him so easily?
