Kevin found himself inside a sleek, high-tech laboratory deep within the Nexus Collective headquarters. The walls were pristine white with glowing blue accents, and various scanning devices hummed softly around him.
He had already undergone a full-body scan and X-ray. Now, a technician carefully drew several vials of his blood while Dr. Rebecca Holiday observed from the side, her expression focused and professional.
"This is the last procedure," Holiday said calmly. "We're quite curious how you've managed to stay in this world for so long without any adverse effects."
She continued explaining as the technician worked. "Based on our research, most Travelers begin experiencing 'glitching' after about a week, body aches, sudden convulsions, chest pain, dizziness. By the second week, an unknown force usually teleports them away either back to their original world or to some other unknown location. Some don't survive the process. That's why your case is so valuable to us. A Traveler who has been here for over a month with no symptoms is unprecedented."
Kevin nodded, processing the information.
He looked at Dr. Holiday and quietly muttered, "Appraisal."
A blue panel appeared in his vision:
[Name: Rebecca Holiday ]
[Age: 32 ]
[Affection: 8/100]
[Lust: 24/100 ]
[Bond: Professional Interest ]
[Personality: A brilliant and dedicated chief scientist working for the Nexus Collective. She is highly analytical, logical, and passionate about her research, especially regarding, Evos, dimensional Travelers and the balance between Noids and toons. She can come across as cold or detached at first, but she genuinely cares about advancing scientific understanding for the benefit of both humans and toons. ]
[Kinks: Intellectual dominance, being praised for her intelligence during intimate moments, power exchange in a controlled environment, light bondage, being restrained while still in control. ]
[Description: Chief scientist at the Nexus Collective's research division. She specializes in studying Evology, dimensional anomalies, Traveler physiology, and the long-term effects of crossing between worlds. She is respected throughout the federation for her groundbreaking work on the stability of Noid physiology in this reality.]
After the blood draw was complete, Dr. Holiday smiled politely and gestured toward the exit.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Sir Harlan. Since we've taken up quite a bit of your time, consider this our compensation." She motioned to Cobra Bubbles, who was waiting outside the door. "Cobra will be your driver and tour guide for the rest of the day. You can go anywhere in the city using the Aether Glide, our most advanced zero-gravity luxury transport. He will take you wherever you wish."
Kevin smiled. "Then I won't refuse. Thank you, Doctor."
Holiday nodded to Cobra. "Accommodate Mr. Harlan as best as you can."
Cobra Bubbles gave a small, respectful nod. "Understood."
He led Kevin back outside to the sleek, black Aether Glide. The interior was incredibly spacious and luxurious, with soft lighting and comfortable seating.
Once they were settled, Cobra looked back from the driver's seat. "Where would you like to go, sir?"
Kevin thought for a moment. "I'm new here. What do you recommend?"
Cobra replied in his deep voice, "Two places stand out. The Motor Speedway of the South, where the final race of the 2005 Piston Cup Season will take place soon, there's still time if you want to watch the preparations or the BnL Supermall, the largest shopping complex in the federation. You can find rare items there that are difficult to get anywhere else."
Kevin considered both options. "Let's start with the BnL Supermall, then head to the speedway afterward."
Cobra nodded and started the car. The Aether Glide lifted smoothly into the air and accelerated with almost no sensation of movement. The scenery blurred past as they headed toward the massive mall.
Kevin leaned back in his seat, curious about what he might find in one of the most advanced shopping centers in this world.
____
The Aether Glide descended smoothly and docked at one of the massive entrance bays of the BnL Supermall, the largest shopping complex in the entire federation. The building was enormous, a gleaming monument to consumerism with towering holographic advertisements floating above it, all proudly displaying the "Buy n Large" logo.
Kevin and Cobra Bubbles stepped inside.
The interior was overwhelming: endless levels of bright, clean stores, moving walkways, automated drones delivering packages, and cheerful corporate music playing in the background. Everything screamed convenience and excess.
They started browsing casually.
Kevin was fascinated by the advanced technology on display, self-cleaning appliances, holographic entertainment systems, and zero-gravity furniture. He picked up a few small useful items for the house and restaurant, but nothing too extravagant.
As they wandered into the "Farm & Garden 3000" section, something caught Kevin's eye.
It was a sleek, compact Egg Incubator labeled "Toon-Force Accelerated Incubator." The machine promised to dramatically speed up egg hatching using controlled bursts of Toon Force, the same mysterious energy that allowed cartoon physics to bend reality. It was designed for both regular and special eggs, with adjustable settings and safety monitors.
Kevin examined it closely. This could solve his problem with the Abyssal Chicken Eggs and any future farming needs. He decided to buy it on the spot.
After completing the purchase, they continued browsing for a while longer before heading back to the car.
As the Aether Glide lifted off and headed toward the Motor Speedway of the South, Kevin turned to Cobra Bubbles.
"While we're driving, can you tell me what 'Toon Force' actually is? I saw it mentioned on the incubator. I know the general idea, but I want to understand it better in this world."
Cobra Bubbles kept his eyes on the road or rather, the air as he answered in his deep, measured voice.
"There are two primary mystical energies in this world. The first is Toon Force. It is the power certain toons possess to manipulate reality and disregard physical laws to achieve the impossible. Only a small percentage of toons can wield it effectively. They use it to create convenient items, perform impossible feats, or bend the rules of physics. Things that science cannot fully explain are usually the result of Toon Force. It's essentially magic in cartoon form. Because of this, toons who can harness Toon Force are highly valued, many are sought after by corporations and the federation to develop new technologies and tools."
He continued, "The second energy is Reality Aura, which is possessed by almost all Noids. Its primary purpose is to temporarily turn toons into real humans and grant them intense, genuine sensations. However, most Noids don't know how to properly harness or strengthen it. When a toon is transformed by Reality Aura, the effect usually only lasts for a short time, minutes at best before they revert back to toon form."
Kevin nodded slowly, absorbing the information. "So Toon Force is what allows things like that incubator to work…"
"Correct," Cobra replied. "It's a valuable resource. That's why the federation keeps close track of individuals who can wield significant amounts of either energy."
The car continued its smooth, fast glide toward the Motor Speedway.
