Chapter 4 - The Clash

Smoke and rain filled the air around the devastated Patna Research Institute of Science.

When Manasvi arrived, the first thing she saw was fire.

Burning police vehicles.

Shattered glass.

The smell of metal and fuel mixed with rain.

Her heart sank.

Bodies of officers from the Patna Police were scattered across the parking area.

"…No…"

She ran toward them quickly, kneeling beside one of the officers.

She checked for a pulse.

Nothing.

She moved to another.

Then another.

All of them were gone.

She said" who is the one doing this how can there be a such scale of destruction."

For a moment she stood still in the rain, her expression tightening.

Then—

Her instincts screamed.

Someone was approaching.

Behind her.

Slowly, silently.

Manasvi's hand slid into her pocket.

A butterfly knife appeared in her fingers.

Click.

The blade flicked open as she spun—

But her wrist stopped.

A massive hand had caught it.

Standing before her was a towering man.

Six foot six.

Dressed completely in black.

His face was calm… almost bored.

The man threw a punch straight at her face.

Manasvi reacted instantly.

She lifted her leg and parried the punch with her shin, redirecting the force.

Her body moved like a machine.

A knee strike slammed into his ribs.

Then a sharp kick to the jaw.

Using the momentum, she flipped her body and delivered a back kick.

The man slid backward across the wet ground for several meters.

Rain splashed under his boots as he stopped.

For the first time, his eyes narrowed slightly.

She's skilled.

Manasvi stared at him.

Is he the one who did all this…?

Without hesitation, she pulled out her Desert Eagle.

But before she could aim—

He vanished.

No.

He moved.

The giant figure appeared directly in front of her.

His fist slammed into her stomach with monstrous force.

The impact sounded like a cannon.

Manasvi's body launched backward.

She crashed through the wall of a nearby house.

Then another wall.

Then another room.

Finally her body stopped after smashing through multiple structures.

For several seconds she couldn't breathe.

Her lungs refused to move.

Her body trembled.

"…Damn…"

But she forced herself up anyway.

Blood ran from the corner of her mouth.

She picked up her Desert Eagle and climbed the stairs inside the damaged building.

One step.

Then another.

By the time she reached the fifth floor, her breathing was heavy.

He hits too hard.

His strength… it's not human.

And his speed… for someone that big…

She raised the gun.

Through the broken wall she saw him standing below.

She aimed at his head.

BAM!

The first bullet fired.

BAM!

The second.

BAM!

The third.

The bullets tore through his skull.

For a moment…

His head exploded into fragments of flesh and bone.

Then something impossible happened.

The wounds began to close.

Flesh pulled together.

Bone reformed.

Within two seconds, his head was completely restored.

Manasvi's eyes widened.

"…What the actual hell?!"

She fired again.

And again.

And again.

Ten rounds from the Desert Eagle blasted his head apart repeatedly.

Each time—

It regenerated.

Completely.

Suddenly the gun in her hands twisted violently.

Metal folded inward.

The pistol compressed into a small scrap of metal.

Manasvi looked up.

The man in black had raised his hand.

Her feet lifted from the floor.

She was levitating.

Invisible pressure crushed around her body.

He flicked his fingers downward.

Her body slammed into the ground.

The impact created a massive crater in the concrete floor.

Dust and broken stone exploded outward.

Manasvi coughed violently.

Blood spilled from her mouth.

Far above, the man in black watched calmly.

For the first time, his expression changed.

What…?

How is she still alive?

A normal human would already be pulp from that impact.

His eyes narrowed.

That attack could level an entire skyscraper.

Yet Manasvi slowly pushed herself up from the crater.

Her arms trembled.

But she was standing.

And something else was happening.

The invisible force holding her down…

Was beginning to weaken.

Because she was resisting it.

Man in black who was now little afraid thought "how can she resist is it because of her will power?!"

The rain continued falling over Patna.

And for the first time that night…

The unstoppable killer had met someone who did not break.
