"What a mess…"
Sora Yukihara had the urge to hold his forehead.
The video wasn't shot by professionals, and the reason behind it was almost ridiculous.
A girl's cat had climbed onto a billboard, and her boyfriend went up to retrieve it.
She filmed her boyfriend's "heroic" act—only to accidentally capture Sora Yukihara flying through the air after completing his task.
The funniest part?
The video was uploaded to a major streaming site, and because of the "supernatural" element, it quickly went viral. Before long, it caught the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D., the organization that specialized in handling such incidents—and ultimately led them straight to Sora Yukihara.
This was truly an undeserved disaster.
"Mr. Qin, do you have anything to say?"
Coulson smiled as he looked at him.
He was efficient—finishing his bread in a few bites and downing his milk in one go, wiping his mouth as he observed Sora Yukihara's reaction.
Sora Yukihara seemed to figure something out and instead calmed down.
He finished his breakfast at a leisurely pace before asking casually, "Agent Coulson, is there anything else? If not, I'll be heading out."
"Uh…"
Coulson couldn't understand the sudden shift.
"Mr. Qin, you haven't answered my question yet."
Sora Yukihara sneered. "You call that a question? Throwing together a few coincidental photos and calling it evidence—are you mocking me, or just lowering your standards?"
"Fair enough."
Coulson didn't seem bothered at all. He simply tossed the photos aside and said, "Actually, we're not here to accuse you. We're here to invite you."
"Invite me?"
"To join S.H.I.E.L.D."
Sora Yukihara raised a brow.
Coulson nodded. "Yes. We have a special team composed of enhanced individuals. It's called the Avengers."
"I refuse."
Sora Yukihara didn't even hesitate.
As someone who pursued freedom and adventure, he would build his own pirate crew—not join someone else's.
Coulson was taken aback. "You don't even want to hear the details? Perhaps the benefits and influence of joining the Avengers might interest you."
"No need."
Sora Yukihara's tone was firm.
Coulson asked, "Do you already have a team?"
"No."
Sora Yukihara replied decisively, "But I will build one that answers only to me."
The moment Sora Yukihara made that declaration, a new system prompt appeared.
"Ding! Main quest activated."
Main Quest: Within six months, establish a pirate crew belonging to the host.
Completion Requirements: At least three extraordinary members, and possession of a ship or base belonging to the crew.
Reward: 1 Devil Fruit.
"An unexpected bonus."
Sora Yukihara hadn't expected that talking with Coulson would trigger a main quest. It was a pleasant surprise.
Black Cat already counted as one extraordinary member.
He only needed two more—and a base—and the reward would be his.
"Alright."
Seeing Sora Yukihara's determination, Coulson knew further persuasion was useless.
He left behind a business card and said politely, "Mr. Qin, as an enhanced individual, if you ever encounter… troublesome situations, try to restrain yourself. Give us a call—we'll do our best to help."
"Sure."
Sora Yukihara accepted the card.
To him, Coulson was practically a lucky charm—showing up and triggering a main quest.
He wouldn't mind more visits like this.
Coulson took his leave.
Knock knock knock…
Just as Sora Yukihara closed the door and prepared to tidy up, someone knocked again—this time urgently.
"Sora Yukihara! Open up! Something big happened!"
It was Peter.
Confused, Sora Yukihara opened the door and saw Peter drenched in sweat.
"Peter, don't tell me your briefcase got stolen?"
Peter froze. "How did you know?"
Sora Yukihara replied, "What else could make you this anxious?"
"Right…"
Peter didn't think too much about it. "After what happened yesterday, I hid the briefcase under my bed. I thought no one would find it. But this morning—it was gone."
"Did you call the police?"
Peter shook his head. "It's just an old briefcase. If it weren't for the research data inside—especially the decay rate algorithm—no one would care. And if we reported it, would the police even believe us?"
"I'll go check with you."
Sora Yukihara quickly got ready and followed Peter out.
They soon arrived at Peter's house.
Uncle Ben and Aunt May sat in the living room, exchanging helpless looks.
"What happened?"
Sora Yukihara rarely saw Uncle Ben so dejected.
Uncle Ben sighed. "No signs of forced entry. No traces at all. We didn't notice anything—and yet the briefcase disappeared right under our noses. If that thief had malicious intent… we wouldn't even know how we died."
"As long as we're safe…"
"As long as we're safe…"
Aunt May kept repeating the same words, clearly shaken by the thief's terrifying skill.
Peter asked, "Qin, do you think we should call the police?"
"I think—"
"Breaking news! Breaking news!"
A sudden emergency broadcast interrupted the television.
"We interrupt with urgent news: the world-famous playboy, genius inventor, and entrepreneur Tony Stark has been attacked and kidnapped in Afghanistan."
Tony Stark's photo filled the screen.
"…Damn."
"Peter, sorry—I might need to leave for a while."
Without waiting for a response, Sora Yukihara turned and left, ignoring the confusion of the Parker family.
Because this might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
