Chapter 154
Euphoria slashed at the eagle beast's talons. The beast, in pain, had to release its grip while still trying to fling Euphoria off. Cara, now free, did not land but jumped onto Euphoria, grabbing her skirt.
Euphoria breathed a sigh of relief when the eagle beast released Cara, but she and Cara were thrown off by the beast's immense force.
They plummeted downward, and Euphoria saw other eagle beasts flying towards them. Suddenly, their descent was halted; the talkative man had caught them.
The talkative man moved incredibly fast, his agility restored. After catching Euphoria, he flew rapidly south.
Cara jumped into Euphoria's arms, and she held him tightly, afraid he would fall.
"Where are you going? Take me back!" Euphoria cried anxiously as the talkative man carried her away.
The talkative man remained silent, his expression grave.
Euphoria looked back and saw a large group of eagle beasts chasing after them, getting closer and closer.
