Euphoria glared at him. Just then, Cara woke up, shook his little head, and jumped down from the tree, likely to relieve himself.
Euphoria sat up, looked at the talkative man, and asked, "Why are you looking at me?"
The talkative man's smile did not fade. He replied, "Of course, it is because you are good-looking."
Euphoria mentally called him a "rogue beast," then nimbly climbed down the tree.
Her body was numb from sitting all night. After getting down, she stretched and then went to the river to wash herself quickly.
Cara returned soon after. He jumped to Euphoria's side, splashed water on his face, and rubbed it with his little paws.
Euphoria smiled and helped Cara wipe his face. After washing, Cara smiled at Euphoria. His smile in beast form was incredibly cute, like a gentle kitten.
They had waited all night for Hayes and the others, but they had not arrived. She wondered how they were doing and whether they were in danger.
