They were boisterous and clumsy, nearly knocking her into the water in their excitement. After finally getting them to stand still, she confirmed they were roughly the same height. The eldest cub, emboldened by his size, gave a prideful "Awoo" before sprinting off to tumble in the grass with his brother.
Little Cara watched them, his expression one of slight annoyance. "Jealous devils," he muttered, "they interrupted our conversation."
Euphoria patted his head, touched by his childish innocence. "Go play with your brothers, Cara."
He agreed, though his intentions were clearly more mischievous than brotherly. He marched over to the cubs with a proud, provocative air. "Let's play—how about a duel?"
The cubs roared, eager for the challenge. Cara, showing no fear, stood his ground. "Then come at me together. I wouldn't want Mom to say I'm bullying you."
