Chapter 120
The next morning, Euphoria woke up to an empty room. She felt worried; her mates rarely left her alone, especially with a threat nearby.
She stepped outside and froze. The turtle tribe's village was gone. In its place was the thick, dark Void Forest—the same place they had stayed before.
She rubbed her eyes, but the forest stayed. Suddenly, a group of angry, pointy-eared beastmen appeared and charged at her.
This was the Void Forest. How did she get there overnight? She remembered going to sleep in her own bed. Had her mates moved her?
Where were they?
Before she could think, the warriors attacked. Euphoria was terrified. Why were they attacking her?
As she moved back, a large, golden lion jumped in front of her, blocking the attackers.
"Hill! What is happening? How did we get back to the Void Forest?!" Euphoria cried. Hill stayed in his lion form and let out a loud roar, shielding her from the chaos.
Hill jumped into the fight against the warriors.
