Chapter 119
Peg looked at Kaia for a second before turning back to Sora. She said, sounding tired, "Let Wayne go."
Sora's face was unreadable. He looked at the guard holding Kaia, then back at Peg, and said quietly, "But having him near makes you happy."
Peg shook her head. "He has his own mate on land. His heart is sad here, and because he is unhappy, I cannot be happy either."
Sora's brow furrowed. He stepped forward and put an arm around her, but she whispered, "I have lived here for many years. I am used to this life. I have no plan to leave."
The cold look in Sora's eyes softened. After a moment, he ordered the guard, "Release the lion." Then, pointing at Kaia, he added coldly, "Take her away too."
The guard took Kaia out. Realizing Sora wasn't going to kill her, Kaia sighed in relief, though she was still filled with deep hatred.
Wayne had gone too far; she would make him pay!
