Chapter 113
The guard was so shocked by Euphoria's calm that he actually let go of her arm. The Illusion King, flying just ahead, gave her a suspicious look but then turned back to the horizon.
When Euphoria decided the distance was right, she reached into her clothes, grabbed her bone dagger, and sliced the guard's throat. The orc had dropped his guard just because she was a woman, and he never expected a small creature like her to kill him.
Euphoria quickly put her hand over his mouth to muffle him, then propped him up so he looked like he was still sitting there. After that, she took a deep breath and jumped off the bird.
The bird was confused by the sudden shift in weight, but it just thought it was a normal change in the air currents. As Euphoria fell, she saw Trent flying toward her.
The Illusion King looked back and saw that Euphoria was gone from the bird. He roared in rage as he spotted her falling through the sky. "You useless fools! Go back and get her!"
