Chapter 20 - [HAREM 20: THE RESIDENTS OF HAREM VS. THE RESIDENTS OF EVIL!!!]

Harumi had long, flowing black hair with striking red tips at the edges. Her eyes were a blazing crimson. She had a commanding presence, a nice figure, and as I couldn't help but notice, she was quite well-endowed.

She looked at me and said, "Yes! So, what's the matter? The Goddess of Reality told us everything. So... you must be Ahiro Aijo... Hmm..."

She walked closer to me, inspecting me with an intensity that made me nervous.

"Whatever," she continued, brushing the thought aside. "There are many more girls behind this big hump of land. We used our team spirit to build a large village. Let's go there."

We were all surprised to hear that they had managed to build an entire village while we were still struggling with our own troubles.

"Let's go, guys. Xinoni, make the buildings small again," Miss Yurin commanded.

Xinoni performed her magic once more. Harumi didn't look surprised by the shrinking buildings at all. When Tsukiko asked her why, Harumi simply replied, "There are many girls with abnormal abilities in our village. This is nothing new."

We reached the area behind the hump and were stunned to see two large villages spread out before us. They were built in a canyon-like area with a divider running between them, like the "Eriti" [Entity]. The village on the right looked dark and dangerous, shrouded in a thick, eerie fog.

Shiori gasped. "How was such a huge place hidden by this small hill? Wow!"

"What is that village on the right?" Rin asked, pointing toward the fog.

"That is the 'Resident of Evil,'" Harumi explained. "Zombies, slimes, and other monsters live there. We don't know how they got there or who built that village. Anyway... let's go."

As we descended the slope, we saw that the main village was fully illuminated by torches and glowing blue stones.

"What are those glowing stones?" Sakura asked.

"I don't know," Harumi replied. "They're stones we found while mining. We named them 'Marinonight' because of their blue color."

"Wow! We haven't encountered slimes or found any unknown elements like 'Marinonight' yet. You really are pros!" Miss Yurin praised.

I stared at the villagers. They were all female and nearly the same age as us. Some of them tried to invite me into their wooden houses, but Rin stopped me every single time.

I commented to the group, "This feels exactly like a 'Mineshaft' game! Survival, horror, action, slimes, zombies, and wooden houses... Wow! This Harem Anime has shifted into a 'Harem-Craft' game! It's so unique!"

Harumi turned to Rin. "Is he always finding a 'Harem' in everything?"

Rin sighed. "Yes, as you can see. Stay alert."

Ame noticed something and spoke up happily. "Ahiro, you're wearing a light blue t-shirt and deep blue trousers! You're matching perfectly with Stevo, the main player of the game! That means I'm Alexa!"

"Yeah!" I cheered, supporting her.

Suddenly, Kagatari and the other members of the royal family started quarreling with Ame because they all wanted to be "Alexa." I tried to stop them with Sakura and Charolina's help.

Watching the chaos, Rin said to Harumi, "It's normal. It's not just that Ahiro likes us; we all like him madly too. It feels realistic, not like a fiction story."

"Yeah, I can feel that," Harumi admitted.

A few minutes later, we reached a wooden house similar to the others. Harumi climbed the short stairs and said, "This is my little shack."

"But... it's not big enough for a group like ours..." Yuzuki pointed out.

Xinoni stepped forward confidently. "I can 'munch' your residence, the mansion, and the castle into this shack! It will become one giant castle!"

"Wow! Do it!" we all cheered.

We lined up our miniature buildings at the end of the village. Xinoni chanted, "Munchorize!" Her body glowed in a brilliant green and blue light. Instantly, all the buildings we had were "munched" together into one massive structure.

We were amazed to see a giant castle made of both wood and concrete. We entered the hall and were stunned. The hallway looked like the castle, but the main hall looked like a much larger version of our mansion. On the second floor alone, there were 69 rooms! The bathrooms were huge, and every room was beautiful.

Charolina hugged Xinoni with joy. "You're such a good 'Girlpanion'!"

Ame explained the word "Girlpanion" to a confused Harumi, who was surprised we were inventing new words. We gave Harumi the rest of our BBQ for dinner, and then we all went to sleep in our separate rooms.

The next day, the 13th, I opened my eyes and realized someone was sleeping beside me. I jumped in fright, but then let out a heavy breath of relief. It was Ame. She must have sneaked in during the night because she loves her "No. 1 fan." She looked so cute that I didn't have the heart to wake her up.

I got out of bed and headed for the door, only to find Kagatari coming toward my room.

"Good morning!" I said.

"Good morning, Ahiro-sama. Let me clean your room," she offered.

Without thinking, I said, "Okay! Everything is yours."

As she was about to enter, I remembered Ame was still in there! "Wait! Don't!" I shouted, trying to stop her.

"Why?" she asked, confused.

"B-Because... I don't want you to have to do any work!" I stammered.

"But it's my hobby and my passion!" she insisted.

I couldn't find an answer. As she reached for the door handle, I panicked. To save myself from the chaos, I grabbed Kagatari's shoulder, she turned around, and I kissed her.

She blushed and hugged me back, kissing me in return until our lips were locked. Suddenly, I saw a figure frozen in the hallway. It was Sakura!

I tried to explain using sign language, but she wailed and passed out on the spot. We were both shocked.

"Kagatari! Take Sakura into my room! Fast!" I ordered.

When Kagatari entered the room with the unconscious Sakura, she wailed too—seeing Ame in her short nightdress on my bed. Sakura's lower half was still hanging out the door, so I grabbed her thighs and tried to pull her inside.

At that exact moment, Ai and the chemist gang walked down the corridor and saw me holding Kagatari and a passed-out Sakura like that.

"Can you explain this chaos?" I asked the chemists, defeated.

Hanako nodded. "Yeah. Maybe Ame got into your room, you tried to stop Kagatari from seeing her and did something 'Harem-type,' Sakura saw you two and passed out, you told Kagatari to take her inside, but then she saw Ame and passed out too, leaving her legs in the hall right as we arrived. Is that it?"

I was shocked by how accurate she was. "Yeah! That's exactly what happened!"

"Okay... we'll help you. Let us in and we'll try to wake them up," Sayaka said.

I let them in, and Sayaka locked the door behind them.

Later, I brushed my teeth and entered the main hall where the other girls were sitting on big sofas. Miss Yurin greeted me. "Good morning! Have you seen the chemist gang, Kagatari, Sakura, Ai, or Ame?"

My heart hammered against my ribs, and I started sweating. "N-No! I haven't seen them!"

"Oh! Then where are they?" Tsukiko questioned.

Rin looked at me with narrow, suspicious eyes. "Why are you sweating?"

"It's just water!" I lied. "I just finished washing my face!"

Natsumi defended me. "Leave your detective side alone, Rin! He's not a bad guy; there's probably another reason."

"Anyway," Harumi interrupted, "I think our neighbors, the 'Residents of Evil,' are connected to all of this. We have to save the people there before they are turned into monsters themselves."

"But we don't have enough fighters yet," Sachiko pointed out.

"Don't worry," I said, my "Genius" mind already at work. "We have soldiers in our village, but we don't even need them. This is a rescue mission. If it fails, then we will use the 'Resident of Harem vs. The Resident of Evil' formation!"
