Chapter 2 - Where it all started

Chapter 1: Where It All Started

My name is Bethel, and my story didn't begin in chaos or perfection—it began somewhere in between. My background wasn't bad, but it wasn't entirely smooth either. It had its calm moments and its quiet rough edges, the kind you don't always notice until you grow older.

I grew up in a small family circle—just me, my elder brother, and my three younger siblings. Being the only girl, I was surrounded by a different kind of attention. I was loved deeply, protected constantly, and watched over in ways that made me feel safe, but also a little sheltered. My dad and my elder brother made sure nothing ever went wrong around me, always stepping in before things could even get difficult.

My mom, in her own way, showed her love through care and provision. She always tried to give me what I needed, sometimes even before I asked. She didn't want me to feel left out or less than when I saw my mates with things I didn't have. To her, my happiness mattered, and she did her best to protect that. Even till now, she still tries, and I see it more clearly as I grow older.

I went to some of the best schools around, met different kinds of people, and experienced life in small but meaningful ways. On the outside, everything looked fine—like I had a good life, and in many ways, I did. But life isn't always about what people see.

As a person, I grew into someone a little complex. When I'm comfortable with you, I can talk a lot, laugh, and be very expressive. I can be lively and open. But at the same time, there's another side of me—the quiet, reserved part. Even with people I know well, I tend to keep a lot to myself. I don't always say how I feel, even when something hurts me deeply.

I learned to carry things inside, to smile through certain moments, and to deal with my emotions quietly. Not because I wanted to, but because it became a part of me.

That's who Bethel was—a girl surrounded by love, yet slowly learning how to handle her feelings on her own, in silence.
