"The Kingdom of Zulfar why are they attacking us now" Jake exclaimed
Helen didn't know the answer to this question the attack happened so suddenly her first reaction was to run to his room to make sure he was safe.
"We need to get to the Lords Keep now" Helen yelled "Everyone in the city is being evacuated"
"Where are my parents are they down there now?" Jake asked her.
"The King is away in the Southern Kingdom of Stellar for work speaking with your uncle King James we don't know if he knows of what's going on here even if he does he will not be able to arrive for at least a day" Helen responded "We need to go now"
As they left his room Helen released her beast familiar a solid gold with dark blue streaked wolf shaped beast that stood on four legs with a height of over 2.5 meters at the shoulders. It's pearly white teeth glistening in the moonlight that streamed in from the window. The Golden deep water wolf began to bare its fangs it could sense what was going on and from the look of its golden fur on its back it was ready for a fight. This was an A Grade beast at the Lord Rank.
The golden color was the signature of the Nova family royal lineage. Helen was a decendent from a branch of the royal family from the Kings father 2nd youngest brother.
Familiar beast when placed in their life space could see everything their tamer could see and feel everything they could as well. Its like they are one but they could also sleep and eat in this space and also ignore what was going on in the real world if they chose to ignore it.
Most people when they turned 12 are able to bond with a Familiar beast those who don't normally die trying or don't try at all. To bond with a Familiar you are sent to another world through a portal to obtain one. You can only go alone as once you have bonded with a Familiar you will be automatically teleported back to the corresponding place in this world. The Familiar world is like a mirror image of this world in terms of size and shape the main difference is the landscape and terrain there are also no buildings in this familiar world as people are unable to live in this space. You can't leave unless you bond with a beast and you can stay for as long as it takes however the beasts are likely to kill you the longer you are here. Many people believe that you shouldn't be sent to the familiar realm until they are older but when this has been tried in the past the beast tend to be more ferocious and at a much higher level. Almost like the older and stronger you are the stronger the beasts are that come for you. It's also part of the reason people can't live in this place long term.
Familiar beast are ranked from D to A rank with only God and Immortal ranked above this. There has only ever been one true Immortal ranked beast in the history of this world and that was over a thousand years ago coincidentally enough he was the ancestor of the current King. There was also sub grades in each rank as not all beasts were equal. The sub ranks broke down from lowest to highest rank.

The last two ranks do not occur in anything below A Grade as this is the point where the Familiar beasts tend to have a much more profound difference in strength at the same grade.
"Where is my mother Nana" Jake asked as they started moving down the corridor heading to the stairway leading to the ground and basement levels
Helen didn't respond immediately which began to annoy Jake who asked again "where is my mother Helen". Helen immediately noticed he used her name something he had never done. So she stopped and told him what she knew. "Honestly I don't know when the attack started she ran straight out of the castle to defend the people in the outer regions". "Let's get to the Lords Keep now"
The Lords Keep was an underground domain located beneath the castle and the inner area of the city. There was only one entrance to the Keep it was located just outside the main castle but inside the main castle walls.
Inside the Lords Keep the ceiling glittered with diamonds making it look like the night sky. It was a massive area located half a kilometer below ground making it a fortress but also a prison as there was no escape.
After running through the castle and reaching the entrance to the Keep with the Golden deep water wolf leading the way moving as water through the crowds of people and soldiers. The palace guards where already there awaiting for the Prince the only son of his and her majesty.
Once he and Helen entered the gates of the Keep the guards sealed it shut with all the powers they could gather from their beasts.
There were many different types and shaped beasts from those that ran along the ground and those that flew in the sky all with a magnitude of different types of attacks and abilities.
Jake and Helen made their way down to the bottom of the Keep and could see over two hundred thousand people all women and children with a few hundred guards located in amongst the crowd to maintain order.
After a couple of hours explosions could be heard above growing louder and closer to the entrance of the Lords Keep with vibrations growing stronger. Suddenly an enormous explosion went off and rubble was blown into the Keep the Soundwave bounced off the walls making all the people clap their hands over their ears as the sound was deafening.
