Sez, who was the princess in the Imperial House of Rowayne of the Den Helder Empire, was killed by her brother, Rayton, who caused the coup. Rayton was discriminated against in the empire for the prophecy that the monster whose hair is black as night and eyes as red as blood will end the whole world, and he had the same appearance as the monster of the prophecy.

Though her head was cut by his sword and lost the chance to escape the empire, somehow she was magically sent back to the past. When she had a second chance to change her fate, she decided to become friendly with Rayton to survive.

The night was deepening but Sez couldn’t sleep. She was struggling with a mountain of ancient books. Belkiel had said he’d look for a way and that she should just stay put and not do a thing, but those words didn’t resonate with her.

Sez sighed softly as she read an ancient book covered in layers of dust. Nowhere in the book was there a story about a human, not a god, being sealed away. Since Belkiel had said this was a first for him, it was, perhaps, to be expected.

'Can there be a way to restore Eton's power without sealing him away?'

It wasn't that she hadn't thought about it. But even if Rayton were to transfer half of his power to the seal stone, it’d still be much more than what Eton possessed. If Eton tried to absorb the seal stone, the magical power would instinctively return to Rayton due to its homing nature. As such, time was needed - enough time for Rayton and Eton to possibly have equal strength.
