Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: BIRTH OF PROMISE OF WARMTH

The frozen chamber had finally fallen silent, the overwhelming presence of the Frost Sovereign completely gone, leaving behind only the lingering cold and the faint traces of battle that had reshaped the entire area.

Lee Hyun stood still for a moment, his gaze resting on Min Seoah, whose presence had completely transformed after her profession change. There was something different about her now, something deeper, more refined, as if the frost itself had accepted her as its rightful ruler rather than an outsider forcing control over it.

Without saying anything, he activated Player Insight. A transparent panel appeared before his eyes, revealing her current state in full detail.

Lee Hyun's eyes narrowed slightly as he absorbed the information.

"She really… crossed into another level."

He didn't say it out loud, but the thought was clear. The gap that once existed between them had not disappeared, but now it had changed shape. She was no longer chasing him blindly, she was walking beside him in a different way.

Min Seoah noticed his gaze.

"What are you staring at now?"

He smiled lightly.

"Nothing… just confirming something."

She narrowed her eyes.

"You better not be using that strange skill again."

He shrugged casually.

"Maybe."

She clicked her tongue but didn't press further. With the Frost Sovereign defeated and both of their objectives completed, they decided to move back toward the battlefield gate from where they had originally entered.

The journey outward was far calmer than before, the monsters that once dominated the region now either gone or avoiding them entirely, as if instinctively recognizing their presence.

By the time they reached halfway, the sky had already begun to darken again.

"Let's stop here."

Lee Hyun spoke calmly.

Min Seoah nodded. The cold had started to intensify again, and moving forward at night in such terrain would only increase unnecessary risks. Without hesitation, they returned to the cave they had used before, its interior still stable and relatively protected from the outside frost winds.

They settled inside. A quiet calm surrounded them. For a while, neither spoke. Then a sudden system notification appeared before Lee Hyun.

[Notification: Divine Beast Egg – Hatching Process Initiated]

[Please witness the birth of the contracted being]

His eyes widened slightly.

"…Now?"

Min Seoah looked at him.

"What happened?"

Without answering immediately, he reached into his inventory and took out the egg. The moment it appeared, the entire cave shifted.

A faint golden-red glow spread across the walls, pushing back the cold, replacing it with a gentle warmth that felt completely different from any energy they had experienced so far.

The egg began to crack. Small lines appeared across its surface, spreading slowly, glowing from within like something alive was trying to break free.

Min Seoah leaned closer, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"It's hatching…"

The cracks deepened. A soft sound echoed. And then, it broke. From within, a small creature emerged. A tiny bird. But calling it just a bird would be an insult.

Its feathers shimmered with a mix of deep crimson and golden light, each strand reflecting like fire wrapped in elegance. Its eyes were bright, almost glowing, filled with an intelligence that felt far beyond its size. A faint aura surrounded it, not overwhelming, but pure, ancient, and divine.

It stretched its tiny wings slightly. And then, ut looked at Lee Hyun. Without hesitation, it hopped toward him, letting out a soft chirp before gently rubbing its head against his hand.

He smiled faintly, patting it carefully.

"…So you're finally here."

Min Seoah watched silently. Then the little bird turned. It looked at her. For a brief second, it paused. Then it moved toward her, slowly and gently. And pressed its tiny head against her hand, chirping softly, as if seeking affection.

She froze slightly.

"…What is it doing…"

Lee Hyun smirked.

"A daughter always loves her mother first."

Her face turned red instantly.

"Don't say things like that!"

The bird paused. Its eyes lowered slightly. It let out a soft, almost sad sound.

Min Seoah's expression changed immediately.

"…Hey… no… don't…"

She hesitated. Then sighed.

"…Fine."

She gently touched its head.

"From today… I'm your mother, alright?"

The bird instantly brightened, chirping happily as it leaned closer into her touch.

Lee Hyun chuckled.

"Mother of…"

He paused.

"…let's call her Aurelia."

Min Seoah blinked.

"…That's actually not bad."

He nodded proudly.

"Of course."

Then added casually.

"Now, Aurelia's mother, don't forget about her father too."

She glared at him.

"Don't push your luck."

He raised his hands.

"Alright, alright."

But his smile didn't fade. The cave felt warmer. Not just physically, but emotionally. After calming down, Lee Hyun checked the system again.

"She'll need time to grow."

Min Seoah looked at him.

"How long?"

"About a month."

He opened a special section and placed Aurelia inside.

"This is a Beast Sovereign Space… she'll be safe here."

Min Seoah nodded slowly with sad expression.

"…Take care of her."

He looked at her.

"I will."

The night deepened. The cold outside intensified once again. This time, Min Seoah didn't hesitate. She moved closer, her frost energy spreading slightly around him, forming a protective layer.

"You'll freeze otherwise."

He looked at her for a moment. Then smiled.

"…Or we can do this."

Before she could react, he gently pulled her closer. Wrapping his arms around her completely. Her body tensed for a second.

"…What are you doing…"

"Saving energy."

He said casually.

"…Idiot."

But she didn't push him away. Instead, she stayed. The distance between them disappeared completely, the warmth between their bodies replacing the cold around them, the silence no longer empty but filled with something deeper.

Their faces were close, too close. Her breath brushed against his skin. His gaze softened. For a brief moment, time felt slow. She closed her eyes slightly, her expression softer than ever before.

And then, gheir lips met. A quiet, gentle kiss. Not rushed or forceful. But filled with everything they hadn't said out loud. When they parted, her face was slightly red, her eyes avoiding his for a second before she spoke softly.

"From now on…"

"…you're mine."

Her tone carried a hint of possessiveness.

"…Don't even think about other women."

He smiled.

"That was never part of the plan."

She looked at him.

"…Good."

The cold night continued. But inside the cave, it felt warm. And for the first time, neither of them felt alone.
