Missy still could not believe she had signed the marriage documents with Raven.
Alright, Raven had already explained that he needed it for business matters.
But still—
Marriage.
She was about to become someone's wife.
Raven's wife.
"Hart…"
"Hart…"
Missy blinked.
"Y-Yes?"
Raven had called her several times already while she remained lost in thought.
With a quiet sigh, he reached for the laptop resting on her lap and placed it carefully on the bedside table.
"Get some rest," he said softly. "We need to catch the morning flight home."
Raven adjusted the pillows behind her before gently guiding her down onto the bed.
Then, as naturally as if he had done it a thousand times before, he pulled the blanket over her properly.
Casual.
Effortless.
Normal.
And perhaps that was exactly the problem.
Because Missy had already grown used to it.
