Raven and Liza got out of the chamber together. Walking side by side, Raven chattered on while Liza only listened, silently.
When Raven spotted her two friends, she halted and waved at them. Will waved back. Jaden only gave a nod.
" Those are my friends." She told Liza, a smile already forming. Liza could see the kind of happiness in her eyes while she said that simple sentence.
She gave a small nod, and awkwardly raised her hand to wave at them.
Will waved back. Jaden frowned.
Raven murmured curses under her breath, directed at Jaden's expression. She then tapped Liza's shoulder gesturing to her, to go.
After Raven and Liza were out of sight, Will elbowed Jaden.
Jaden threw him a ' What?' look.
" Be kind." Will calmly scolded.
" I am already too kind." Jaden lazily replied and turned to leave.
Will swiftly pulled him back by the sleeves, and put his arm around his shoulder. He patted his chest.
" Let me teach you how to treat people." Will said with a smile and flickered his eyebrows twice.
Jaden shot him a deadly look.
Annoyed, Jaden pushed him aside and strode off. Will watched his passing figure with a victorious smile. He enjoyed annoying Jaden, and he usually succeeded.
He then turned to where Liza and Raven had been standing. He didn't know the reason why , but from the very first moment he saw Liza, he just felt a slight disturbance within himself.
After a moment of letting his mind wander, he chose to let go of the thought and walked the same way as Jaden.
In the main hall, some of the pavilion dwellers were carefully cleaning the place.
Will spotted Jaden where he sat, carefully wiping the table as though he wanted to scrub a hole in the it.
Will slouched towards him. He patted his shoulder.
" You want to scrub a hole in that table?" Will spoke out his thoughts.
" I need it clean."
Before Will could say anything more, he spotted Madam Wang entering with a kind looking mother and her child_ Orchid.
All people stopped their activities at once and bowed to her as a greeting. The mother smiled at them and bowed too.
She carried a basket of herbs and other elixirs .
She was a doctor and was in charge of the pavilion dweller's health. Eniva was her name.
Just like Orchid, Eniva was highly liked in the pavilion. Her presence brought comfort to the pavilion dwellers.
Orchid stood just beside her mother, scrutinizing everyone and giving little bows when they locked eyes.
She then spotted Will. A spark of excitement ignited in her eyes. She quickly run to him and threw herself in his arms. Will lifted her up.
" Are you good?"
Orchid childishly shook her head.
" Why?"
" I missed you!" Orchid said playing with Will's hair.
Not knowing how to reply, he gave an awkward laughter.
Orchid locked eyes with Jaden.
" He is scary." She whispered to him. Will glanced at his friend.
Every person knew well that Jaden didn't like kids.And he always managed to frown whenever there were kids around.
" That... He is just quiet." Will reassured her.
" Go talk to him." Will whispered to her and put her down.
She nodded, and took steps close to Jaden.
Jaden ignored her.
She glanced at Will. She took small steps to him and gestured for him to lower his head, so that she can whisper to him.
" He refused to talk." She whispered. " I don't like him." She added.
" Leave him." Will whispered to her.
" Let's go to play. And Raven."
Will nodded. Orchid searched Raven.
" There." She pointed at her. She quickly took Will's hand and run to her. Raven was standing with Liza at the moment.
She threw her arms around her waist.
" Let's go play." She said excited.
" What game?" Raven asked her.
" Flags of honor." She stated.
"Well, I am working. Next time."
Orchid made a sad face.
" We will play alone." Will told her.
She shook her head with teary eyes.
" I will just go to my mother." She told them.
Raven put her down.
Before she could go, she saw Liza.
" Do you want to play?" She asked her with a smile.
Liza shook her head before adding a ' no'.
Orchid slouched towards her mother and Madam Wang. They were still standing in the hall talking. She tugged both their sleeves.
" I want to play with Raven." She pleaded.
Both women glanced at Raven, at each other, and then at Orchid.
" Isn't she there?" Madam Wang asked the girl nodding at Raven.
Orchid shook her head.
" She say, she is working. Busy... And Will refused to play." She cried. Raven and Will gave her a bewildered look. All the fellows in the main hall turned at them.Their eyes asking why they were making that little angel cry.
They just shrugged.
" AAHHH!!" She cried even louder."They hate me!"
Eniva gave an embarrassed smile and slouched down trying to calm her daughter.
She got louder.
Madam Wang gestured for the two people to come over.
" Play with the child." She commanded. They both glanced at her and nodded.
" We need a fourth person." Orchid said wiping her ' tears'. She glanced at Liza.
" You play?" She asked her. Liza silently shook her head.
Orchid then pointed at Jaden.
" I also want to play with that old man."
Jaden gave her an annoyed look.
In the end the four of them went to play.
" Don't you think you should have waited until next time?" Raven asked her.
The girl gave a small smile.
" Mama says next time means never."
They planted small flags in different areas of the yard. They drew a starting and a finishing line.
The winning team had to corrected more flags than the other.
Orchid believed Jaden was strong. So she chose him as a teammate.
Both teams were good at the game. Jaden who initially thought he couldn't enjoy it, did enjoy.
The laughter, happiness and teamwork was beautiful.
Liza stood in the yard's entrance watching those excited faces. A truly enjoyable sight. A satisfied smile formed on her lips.
" Beautiful." She whispered.
" Truly. Beautiful."
