Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 - Blazing Flames

An endless desert stretched as far as the eye could see. The blazing sun scorched the earth, and the accumulated heat on the surface of the massive rocks distorted the surrounding air. Even when strong winds swept up dry grass and sand from the ground, all one could feel was the wave of scorching heat rushing forward. A desert lizard rested in the shade beneath a giant boulder when it suddenly seemed to hear something. It swiftly raised its head before disappearing into a crack within the rock.

*Rumble rumble rumble~!*

The deep, heavy roar unique to a powerful motorcycle engine rang out. A Harley-style heavy motorcycle with a wild and exaggerated design sped past, kicking up a trail of sand and dust.

The scene shifted to a massive Western-style desert city. From an aerial perspective, the camera slowly descended, allowing viewers to clearly appreciate the details of the city. When the shot finally focused on the streets below, a provocatively dressed girl whose face remained unseen stepped off the roaring Harley motorcycle from earlier. Casually tossing her helmet onto the bike, she walked into a nearby bar.

A lively background track began to play at the same time. As the girl pushed open the bar doors, a blonde girl with a heroic bearing yet carrying a carefree grin entered.

She strolled through the brightly lit dance hall and quickly found her target after glancing around.

"Hey, one orange juice for me, extra ice! Ah~ right, and make it the kind with an umbrella."

The blonde girl greeted the bartender skillfully, though her request left people speechless.

Beside her, a middle-aged man with sunglasses and a beard burst into laughter before turning around mockingly.

"Miss, a bar isn't the kind of place for someone your age."

"Oh~ really? Then a guy who looks like you doesn't deserve the name Juliet either." The blonde girl raised her eyebrows and giggled.

The bearded middle-aged man removed his sunglasses and smiled smugly.

"So you know who I am. Then can you tell me your name, sweetheart?"

"I've got lots of names. But compared to sweetheart, I prefer it when people call me Boss."

The blonde girl smiled warmly as she moved closer, her small hand gently stroking his chest.

A satisfied smile appeared on the middle-aged man's lips. Just as he was about to wrap his arm around her waist, the blonde girl's hand suddenly slid downward until it firmly grabbed the man's most vital male weakness.

The intense pain twisted the man's face, his voice involuntarily becoming shrill as he hissed,

"Let go right now, or you'll regret it!"

At the same time as the warning, the atmosphere inside the bar suddenly changed. Dozens of burly men in black suits emerged from the corners and surrounded them, many already reaching inside their jackets as though preparing to draw weapons.

"Of course. I heard you're the best-informed man in this city. Maybe you can tell me where this person is right now!"

The blonde girl smiled casually, pulling out a strangely designed phone from her partially exposed cleavage and showing him a photograph. Hearing his threat, she tightened her grip even harder. The pain nearly caused the middle-aged man to collapse. After barely glancing at the photo, he weakly replied,

"I swear! I've never seen her before, and I don't know who she is either!?"

The blonde girl sighed, apparently already expecting that answer. Looking at the approaching thugs, the mischievous grin on her face widened.

"Excuse me?"

"I-I swear! Really, Boss!"

The middle-aged man trembled as he raised a hand, signaling the men in black not to act rashly.

"Hmm~~ Looks like we've got an audience. As their boss, this must be pretty embarrassing for you, huh? So what are you going to do next?"

Bent over and clutching himself, the middle-aged man shrank his neck and weakly warned,

"I don't know who you are, but if you want to leave this bar alive, let go immediately! Right now!"

The blonde girl actually let go.

The middle-aged man supported himself against the bar counter and stood back up, glaring viciously at the blonde girl.

"Damn it. You'll pay for this."

As he spoke, he began walking outside while the men in black closed in, preparing to seize the blonde girl.

She smiled indifferently, strolling in front of the middle-aged man before snickering.

"Alright! Juliet, it was just a joke. But I admit I may have gone a little overboard. How about we kiss and call it even?"

The middle-aged man stopped walking. After sizing up the blonde girl from top to bottom, he revealed a satisfied lecherous grin. Seeing the blonde girl tilt her head upward and close her eyes in preparation for a kiss, he lowered himself toward her as well.

*Boom!*

"Oh~ I'm really sorry. I mean, my hand's a little hard to control."

The blonde girl wore an easygoing and playful smile, while the middle-aged man who had tried to kiss her was blasted flying by a heavy punch, crashing through a liquor cabinet filled with bottles. Having suddenly suffered such a brutal blow, he held his forehead and shook his head, dazed and unable to understand what had happened.

The surrounding men in black immediately rushed toward the blonde girl.

*Clack clack~ clack~!*

Mechanical transformation sounds rang out. The metal bracelet on the blonde girl's hand shifted layer by layer, becoming a heavy armored gauntlet that covered half her arm. She swung her right hand to the side, and the gauntlet sounded like a loaded shell chambering into place. The special mechanical structure advanced layer after layer, building power, while eerie crimson light spread through the cracks in the armor.

The blonde girl sneered disdainfully.

When the gauntlet thundered once more like artillery fire, her armored fist smashed into the bar floor. The terrifying, explosive force instantly blasted a crater several meters wide into the ground and sent the charging thugs flying backward.

Realizing the blonde girl was no ordinary opponent, the burly men quickly drew weapons—pistols, assault rifles, and even RPGs.

*Bzzzt!*

An RPG rocket shot toward the blonde girl from a distant platform.

The scene slowed down. The camera shifted from the girl's excited grin to the transforming heavy gauntlet, every intricate mechanical detail clearly visible. Then, with a dramatic spin, the focus moved to the flying RPG shell itself. The details were so clear that even the manufacturer's name printed on the shell could be read—

Dust Crystal Ammunition, manufactured by Schnee Dust Company.

The heavy punch swung out once again.

The immense force collided with the RPG shell, triggering an even greater explosion. A ten-meter radius was instantly engulfed by flames and smoke, overturning and destroying all the bar's decorations and furnishings.

The thugs dared not underestimate her. They raised their submachine guns toward the blazing inferno. Soon afterward, the silhouette of the blonde girl slowly emerged from within the flames, untouched by the scorching fire.

"Well, no matter what, enthusiasm is always a good thing."

*Bang bang bang bang bang bang~~!*

*Clack clack clack clack clack clack~!*

*Dudududu~!*

All kinds of firearms poured out bullets wildly. The blonde girl revealed a fierce, battle-hungry smile as her body suddenly accelerated, becoming like a streak of light charging straight into the barrage of bullets.

...

🎵Come at me

And you'll see

I'm more than meets the eye.

You think that

You'll break me

You're gonna find in time.

You're standing too close to a flame that's burning.

Hotter than the sun in the middle of July🎵

...

The passionate theme song erupted, pulling open the curtain on the battle sequence.

...

Completely dumbfounded!

Lin Ye stared blankly at the ending of 'Yellow—Ashen Paradise,' his mouth slightly open. His thoughts still had not recovered from the intense battle scenes just now. He had never imagined that the combination of cold weapons and modern firearms could be this exciting! Especially that almost unbelievably long-take sequence in the middle, along with the extraordinary battles involving the protagonist and the red-and-blue sisters—it was more thrilling than every Hollywood action movie and fighting film he had ever watched.

That sequence alone made Lin Ye feel that choosing not to go out and participate in Christmas activities tonight had absolutely been the correct decision.

"Holy shit! Holy shit! What the hell was that!? Was I watching a Hollywood blockbuster or a 3D animation!? This is freaking amazing! So damn hype!"

Imitating Yang's motions, Lin Ye excitedly threw several punches into the air, feeling as though his entire body had been ignited by what he had just witnessed.
