Aeris let out a sigh.
"This is getting boring, Mr. Vegeta. And another thing, just because I call you Mr. doesn't mean you should actually start thinking you're impressive."
She slapped the incoming energy sphere aside with one hand, then flashed to Vegeta's side and kicked him straight up into the air.
Aeris immediately chased after him and smashed another kick into him from above.
"Gah—! Cough, cough, cough…"
Aeris didn't care in the slightest how miserable Vegeta looked right now. She simply floated there in the air, quietly looking down at him.
Then she raised one hand and started gathering another attack.
Even from the ground, Vegeta could tell this attack was absolutely not on the same level as the others from before.
He hurriedly brought both hands up in front of himself and started gathering an attack of his own to block it.
"Galnai Burst!!"
"Final Flash!!!"
The two energy waves collided and cancelled each other out. The shockwave from the explosion blasted Vegeta backward.
Aeris looked a little surprised that Vegeta's attack had actually managed to neutralize hers.
Of course, only a little.
Because she was playing.
That was all.
If she had been serious, an attack at Vegeta's level wouldn't have lasted even one second against her.
These days, Aeris knew how to hold herself back much better. If she were still using the same battle-crazed personality she had shown back on Earth while fighting Goku and Piccolo, Vegeta would've already died of sheer terror.
Right now, if Aeris transformed into a Super Saiyan, her battle power would conservatively be around 4.9 billion.
And even without transforming, her base power was already around 98 million.
Looking at Vegeta gradually turning into Tragedy-ta was honestly kind of funny.
Then, right at that moment, a very untimely sound rang out.
Grrrlll…
Aeris: "…"
Well, shit.
She had completely forgotten why she came here in the first place. She got too excited after seeing a fight and forgot all about looking for food.
Aeris looked around.
Then gave up almost immediately.
Yeah, no.
This whole area had basically been flattened.
Forget food.
There wasn't even a single alien left standing nearby.
At that point, Aeris started seriously considering whether she should just go back to Earth.
Because…
Well…
Earth never had a shortage of food.
Maybe…
Maybe she should go back?
Yeah, probably.
She was kind of starting to miss Bulma's…
food.
Once that thought settled in, Aeris decided she'd deal with these three idiots and then head back.
So she dragged the three of them, now completely stripped of combat power, into one pile.
Heal them?
Why would she bother?
They weren't going to die, so what was the point?
A completely beaten Vegeta could only watch as Aeris hauled all three of them together. The ones with hair got dragged by the hair. The bald one got dragged by the tail.
Vegeta: "You…"
Aeris: "You what?"
Vegeta: "I…"
Aeris looked annoyed. "I what? Be quiet. If you keep talking, I might decide to keep beating you."
Vegeta obediently shut his mouth.
What choice did he have?
He couldn't beat her.
A little while later, Aeris looked at him and asked,
"Other than you three, are there any other Saiyans still alive?"
Vegeta turned his head away.
"Why the hell should I tell you?"
There was a trace of sadness in that answer.
After all, as far as he knew, the Saiyan race only had five people left.
Those five being the Vegeta trio, Goku on Earth, and Vegeta's younger brother Tarble.
Though Nappa and Raditz didn't know about Tarble, since he had been secretly sent away by his father for being too weak. As far as they knew, there was no younger brother.
And as for the woman standing in front of them…
Vegeta still wasn't completely sure if she was actually a Saiyan, so in his mind, the number was still five.
Aeris heard his answer and let it go.
After all, when someone had just gotten the shit kicked out of them, it was only natural for them to be a little moody.
So she didn't bother making an issue out of it.
"Well… in that case, let me introduce myself properly. Your lovely big sister here is called Aeris. A Saiyan who was abandoned."
Vegeta froze.
What had she just said?
Saiyan?
Sure, she had a tail like a Saiyan, but the hair color didn't make sense. Saiyan hair wasn't white. The Saiyan gene was strong as hell. No matter what, it should've forced the hair black.
Seeing the obvious confusion on Vegeta's face, Aeris sighed and explained,
"I'm guessing you're wondering why my hair is white. Well… something happened, and it turned white because of that. It used to be black."
Then she looked at his outfit.
"With clothes like that, I'm guessing you work under Frieza."
Vegeta went silent.
Aeris smirked.
"Relax. Survival is survival, right?"
Vegeta looked back at her and asked,
"How high is your battle power?"
Aeris decided to hide just a tiny little bit of the truth.
"Ara ara… big sis isn't that strong, you know. Just a little over ninety thousand… hundred million or so."
Vegeta didn't really believe her.
The pressure he had felt earlier definitely didn't match something that was only "a little over ninety thousand" anything.
Then again, maybe that had just been his imagination.
After all, he was Super Vegeta.
No way someone else was stronger than him.
Then he glanced at Aeris again.
…Alright, no, she was definitely stronger.
Vegeta accepted reality.
Finally, Aeris waved a hand.
"Alright, I should get going. I'm looking forward to the next time we meet. Hopefully we won't be enemies then, Mr. Vegeta."
With that, she turned and walked away, not bothering with the three behind her anymore.
As she walked, she closed her eyes and searched for a familiar ki signature on Earth.
"Found it."
Whoosh.
Vegeta stared.
He had definitely seen something just now.
How the hell had she suddenly vanished?
Right in front of his eyes, too.
He wanted to get up and check, but his body had no strength left. So all he could do was lie there and recover slowly, which was annoying as hell.
A bit later, the first one to wake up was Nappa.
He jolted upright immediately and looked around in alarm.
"Nappa! Stop looking around. That person left a long time ago."
Vegeta clicked his tongue in annoyance.
How was this idiot still this stupid?
At least Raditz had tried to resist a little, even if he ended up passing out too.
"Prince Vegeta, are you alright?"
Nappa hurried over to help him up.
Vegeta shoved him away with visible disgust and said he only needed a little more rest. Then he ordered Nappa to go clean up the people on this planet.
After all, this world had been their target for this mission, and Nappa's combat power was more than enough to handle the local trash.
Nappa could only obey and head off to finish the mission. He couldn't even be bothered to wake Raditz up. He figured he could handle it alone anyway.
Not long after Nappa left, Raditz woke up too. Just like Nappa, he immediately started scanning the surroundings.
Vegeta clicked his tongue again, clearly displeased.
The moment Raditz heard that irritated sound, he stopped looking around.
Because if Vegeta was still alive and mostly intact, then only two possibilities existed.
Either Vegeta had beaten that woman…
Or Vegeta had lost, and she simply hadn't bothered finishing the three of them off.
With that thought in mind, Raditz got up and walked over to Vegeta.
