The words didn't echo, as they settled into the room, and for a moment, nobody moved
The baby in Scarlett's arms shifted slightly with a soft and restless sound breaking through the silence in the room
Betty inhaled slowly
"But I'm not watching you for who you were or whatever you just said. I'm just watching you for who you might become later", she said sharply
Violet laughed out loudly
"That's truly comforting to hear. Don't you think so?"
Scarlett's eyes were still on Betty
"And what do you think I might become? Your nemesis?"
Betty didn't hold back as she replied immediately
"I think you might become a big risk to the Maguires"
Madam Tracy was still standing by the doorway. She was very uncomfortable but she instinctively pulled the baby closer to her chest
Jude had heard enough as he stepped in
"That's enough from both of you"
But Scarlett ignored him as she stepped closer to Betty with the baby in her arms
