Anning's pov
"She kissed me."
I murmured, my voice coming out softer than I intended. I reached up and slowly touched the cheek Wanqing had just kissed.
I couldn't even believe she had done that. After I passed out, did she hit her head somewhere? Or had she also eaten something that was making her behave weird?
I couldn't help but replay everything that had happened today. Wanqing had hugged me, as though she was scared I'd disappear or something.
How she said 'I almost lost you' made my heart break slightly. But that didn't justify the fact that she was still on trial.
Sure, I had feelings for her. I didn't love her...at least not yet.
But if Wanqing doesn't figure out what exactly she feels for me, I might just give up on us. Literally.
"But that woman really is shameless." I said to myself.
But what she had done didn't make me feel uncomfortable. At least that kiss had taken my mind off the dream I had while unconscious.
