Wanqing's POV
Normally, I would've corrected myself over what I had just said. But now, I didn't even bother doing so. Anning's eyes widened at my words, and for once, she didn't know what to say.
Her cheeks turned pink as she looked away from me for a moment. I was starting to enjoy that look on her face far too much.
I turned away, probably to give her a bit of privacy while she schooled her expression. Even as I let my eyes wander around the street, I sneaked a glance at her every second or two.
"Young Miss, you really shouldn't be doing this," she said after a while. Her voice lacked any form of emotion as she spoke.
Shit.
"It wasn't that bad, now was it?" I asked, tilting my head slightly so I could get a clear look at her face.
She looked up at me. Her green eyes had turned completely blank.
"Let's not ruin today," she said, looking away from me.
