Jay pov :
It was already 1 at night, and Keifer still hadn't come home from the office.
It was raining heavily outside.
I kept looking at the clock every few seconds. He was never this late.
"Mama, it's okay. Daddy will come soon," Kaith said and rested his head on my shoulder.
Jace was walking here and there with his hands behind his back like he was solving a mysterious case.
"I think Dad is with a new mom," Jace said.
I looked at him.
"What the hell are you saying?" I shouted.
Kaith lightly smacked Jace's arm.
"Don't scare Mama!" he pouted.
"I am kidding, Mama," Jace laughed.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
I quickly got up and opened the door.
My heart dropped.
My eyes went wide seeing Keifer in that condition.
His shirt was half torn and covered in dirt. Blood was coming from his lips. He was holding his arm tightly, and there were bruises all over him.
I quickly helped him walk toward the couch and made him sit.
"What happened to you?" I asked as I searched his face.
Kaith and Jace ran toward us holding the first aid box.
I quickly took out the cotton and antiseptic.
"Ahh... Jay, slowly," Keifer groaned in pain.
"Dad, you are strong. You are my dad," Jace said and placed his hand on Keifer's shoulder.
Kaith held Keifer's hand tightly, supporting him.
"I'm fine, babies. Why are you both awake? Go and sleep," Keifer said.
"No, Dada. You know we both want you and Mama together, then we will sleep," Kaith said.
Keifer smiled and nodded.
"Babies, go to your room. Mama and Papa want to talk," I said.
They both nodded, kissed Keifer's cheeks, then mine, and left.
I looked at Keifer. He rested his head on the couch while I gently applied antiseptic near his lips.
"What happened?" I whispered.
Keifer pov :
My meeting had just finished.
I checked the time, and it was already 11.
Usually, I reached home by 9, but today it was too late. Jay must be waiting.
I quickly packed my things and stood up.
"Edrix, you can leave now. It's late," I said.
He nodded.
We walked toward the parking lot. Edrix left in his car, but I stayed behind.
I opened my phone and saw Jay's missed calls.
I was about to dial her number when someone knocked on my car window.
A man was standing there.
I opened the door and stepped out.
Just then, someone covered my mouth.
I quickly moved and punched that man.
More men started coming toward me.
I started fighting with all of them.
A few minutes later, they were all lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
I fixed my clothes and was about to get into my car when someone grabbed my arm.
I thought it was another man, but when I turned around, I saw my uncle...
My uncle and aunty...
The same uncle and aunty who acted like they loved me but were only after my money.
"Well, well... look who is here. You grew up. How's your wife and children now?" my uncle asked.
"What do you want?" I shouted.
"Well, we don't want anything. We just want revenge," my aunty said.
Then my uncle pulled out a gun and aimed it at me.
Before I could blink, he pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit my arm.
"Ahhh!" I shouted in pain and held my arm.
They both looked at me and laughed.
"Now enough of this hide-and-seek. We are back now... and this is just the beginning," Aunty said.
They both left while laughing.
Struggling, I somehow reached my car.
I was about to call Edrix for help, but when I looked at my phone, it was already dead.
"Damn it..."
I quickly sat in the car and tore a piece of my shirt.
I tied it around my arm where the bullet had hit and started driving.
It started raining heavily.
I drove to the nearest hospital.
The doctor removed the bullet, stitched my wound, and wrapped a bandage around my arm.
"Sir, you are badly injured. Let us treat all your wounds," the nurse said.
"No, it's fine... my wife is waiting for me," I said and stood up.
Jay pov :
He told me everything that had happened while I treated his wounds.
"Keifer... they are back," I whispered.
Keifer smiled and rested his hand over mine.
"I am here, right? I will find a way," he said.
I nodded and continued treating his wounds.
After that, I helped him stand up and walk toward our room.
I ordered the maids to prepare dinner for us.
I hadn't eaten anything because I was so worried.
Even the babies had refused to eat, but I somehow fed them.
I helped Keifer change his clothes and sat beside him.
We talked for a while about his uncle and aunty.
Just then, the maid brought the food.
I fed him, and then I ate too.
"Keifer, I am worried. What if they hurt the babies?" I said.
"Don't worry. I will increase the security around them," Keifer said.
I nodded.
After eating, we both fell asleep.
The next morning, when I woke up, I looked at the clock.
It was already 9.
Thank God today was Sunday.
I looked at Keifer, who was sleeping peacefully.
Then I went to the babies' room and saw that Kaith and Jace were awake.
Kaith was still lying on the bed, while Jace was running here and there, throwing toys and laughing.
"Good morning, babies," I said.
They both hugged me.
"Mama, is Papa sleeping?" Kaith asked.
I nodded.
He quickly ran toward our room.
I held Jace's hand, and we both walked toward our room too.
As soon as I reached there, I saw Kaith going under the blanket.
"Kaith..." Keifer said sleepily as he looked at him.
"Dada, I want to sleep with you."
Keifer smiled and hugged him.
The father and son fell asleep again.
"Mama, are you sure he is my real Papa?" Jace asked.
"What makes you think that?" I asked.
"Just look at him and Kaith... what about me?"
"Excuse me?" Keifer asked with a sleepy voice.
"You only cuddle Kaith," Jace pouted.
Keifer chuckled.
"Come here, my jealous cupcake"
Jace giggled and quickly climbed onto the bed.
Keifer wrapped one arm around Kaith and the other around Jace.
"Happy now?" he asked.
Jace grinned proudly.
"Yes!"
I chuckled.
"Aren't you Mama's boy?" I asked.
He smiled and nodded.
"Yesss, Mama!"
I picked him up, helped him brush his teeth, and then I got ready too.
After that, I made breakfast, and Jace helped me.
"Jace, hand me a bowl," I said.
He quickly ran toward me and handed it to me.
"Good job," I smiled.
He proudly puffed out his little chest.
We both arranged the breakfast on the table and were about to call Keifer and Kaith when I saw them coming.
Both were fully freshened up.
Kaith was holding Keifer's hand and giving him instructions.
"Dad, slowly," he said.
"Kaith, I got injured on my arm, not my legs," Keifer said with a chuckle.
"I know," Kaith replied seriously." But you are my one and only dad "
Keifer and I brust into laughter
Jace quickly ran toward Keifer and held his other hand.
I smiled seeing them like this.
They both carefully made Keifer sit at the table.
Jace kissed his cheek.
"Good morning, Dad."
"Good morning, buddy."
I served food on everyone's plate.
"Dada, stop," Kaith said.
We all looked at him.
He took the spoon from Keifer's plate and started feeding him.
Keifer looked at me with soft eyes.
It looked like he would cry at any moment.
He ate from Kaith's hand.
Then Jace also went toward him and fed him.
Keifer chuckled and happily ate from both of them before feeding the twins back.
My eyes filled with tears seeing them like this.
I cleared my throat dramatically.
"Okay... so no one loves me?"
"We love you too!" both boys shouted together.
They quickly fed me too.
Keifer smiled.
"See? Even my sons know their Mama gets jealous."
"Excuse me? I'm not jealous," I huffed.
"Mama is jealous," Kaith said confidently.
"Very jealous," Jace nodded.
"Oh really?" I raised an eyebrow.
The three of them laughed together.
I couldn't help but laugh too.
We finished our breakfast like that.
Keifer POV
The next morning...
After getting ready, I walked downstairs.
I saw Kaith and Jace playing in the living room with their toy cars.
I looked at the clock.
It was already time for school.
"You both aren't getting ready?" I asked.
They stopped playing and looked at me.
"We are not going," Kaith said.
I frowned.
"Why?"
"Because you need help," Jace answered.
I blinked.
"I need help?"
Both of them nodded seriously.
"You got hurt."
"So we will stay with you," Kaith said.
Just then Jay walked downstairs with her office bag.
She looked at me and sighed.
"They're being stubborn. I tried everything, but they refused to go."
I looked at the twins.
"Babies, I'll be fine."
"No."
Jace shook his head.
"You need us."
I couldn't help but smile.
Jay laughed softly.
"I'll leave now. I have a meeting."
She kissed my forehead.
"Take your medicines on time."
"I will."
She kissed Kaith and Jace.
"Bye, babies."
"Bye, Mama!"
She smiled one last time before leaving for the office.
As soon as the door closed...
"Dada, sit."
Kaith pointed toward the couch.
I laughed.
"Yes, sir."
I sat down.
Jace quickly brought me a glass of water.
"Dada, drink."
I took the glass.
"Thank you."
A few minutes later, Kaith brought my medicines.
"Dada, medicine time."
"Already?"
He nodded.
"You have to get better."
I smiled and took the medicine.
The whole morning went like that.
Whenever I stood up...
"Dada, where are you going?"
Whenever I wanted something...
"We'll bring it!"
I felt like I had two tiny bodyguards following me everywhere.
After lunch, we went to the backyard.
The weather was nice after yesterday's rain.
Kaith and Jace started running around the garden, laughing and chasing butterflies.
I sat on the bench with my phone.
Without them noticing, I started recording them.
Jace tripped over the grass and quickly got up again.
Kaith laughed so hard that he almost fell too.
Seeing them laugh made me laugh as well.
As I watched them through my phone...
A small smile appeared on my face.
I suddenly remembered my mom and dad.
Mom always loved taking videos of me when I was little.
Dad would stand beside her, laughing while I ran around the garden.
Now...
I was doing the same thing with my own children.
I looked at Kaith and Jace and smiled softly.
"I think... you both would have loved them."
Just then Jace noticed me.
"Dada!"
He and Kaith ran toward me.
"What are you doing?" Kaith asked.
I quickly hid my phone behind my back.
"Nothing."
"You are making our video!" Jace giggled.
"I got caught."
Both of them laughed and climbed onto the bench beside me.
"Dada, show us!"
I played the video.
The three of us watched it together while laughing at Jace falling on the grass.
If car accident didn't happen then my mom and dad are here too
Laughing and playing with us...
I miss you mama and papa ...

Guys tell me how's the chapter pls comment
For all of you, I wrote this long chapter because I wanted to show the beautiful bond between a father and his sons. ❤️
In many Jayfer books, we mostly get Keifer's cute moments with his daughters, but very few stories show Keifer's relationship with his sons. That's why I wanted to write this chapter and give Kaith and Jace their special moments with their Dada.
And yeah... this book is about to end soon. 🥹
Only a few chapters are left before we reach the end of this beautiful journey.
I hope you'll stay with me until the last chapter. Thank you so much for all your love and support. It truly means a lot to me. 🤍
