Breaking Raymond from his thoughts, the door of the room opened with a click. Two individuals came into the room as Raymond's eyes narrowed slightly.
It didn't take much to recall them, as the old Raymond knew them very well. It was Alariv and his wife who was also the vice guild master.
Alariv stepped into the room calmly, as his mere presence radiated authority which made Raymond back straighten up immediately.
He had brown hair and serene green eyes, which looked like they had seen how cruel yet still beautiful this world was. Yet there was a kind smile on his face, as he entered.
In short, he was a good looking man.
While another figure walked beside him calmly, a sweet smile remained on her face.
Her long orange hair shimmered in the sunlight with a beautiful hue, while her dark amber eyes were sharp yet filled with a hint of worry.
Truly, both were a great pair.
"Are you feeling better now?" Alariv asked as he dragged a chair from the side of the room and sat on it calmly while his wife Serenia sat on the edge of the bed, beside him…
"Y-yes, i am fine. Guildmaster." Raymond forced a small smile, it didn't take much for him to guess what happened.
"Are you though?, we heard a scream coming from your room and when we came inside, we found you unconscious on the floor."
Serenia spoke with a soft voice, her hand moving gently towards his face, as she grabbed his chin lightly.
"Um…i am really alright, Vice Guildmaster, the reason i screamed was because of…uh…yeah, spider. I just saw a large spider there." He spoke whatever the first random words came into his mind.
"Pfft. What a spider? Really hahah." A laugh came from beside, as he found Alariv laughing while pointing at him.
"You haha see honey…he has faced monsters but he is scared of spiders haha." Alariv spoke.
'Ugh.' Raymond groaned in his mind from his lousy excuse.
"Hush, don't make fun of him." Serenia said she slapped his hand away softly.
Turning her sharp yet worried gaze to Raymond which clearly said she didn't believe in his excuse one bit, she spoke once again.
"Say Raymond was it those guys again?" Serenia asked her gaze locking into his.
"..." For a moment, Raymond fell quiet. Then he spoke while shaking his head.
"No, Vice master. As i said it was just a spider, no one did something. You don't have to worry about anything." He said, his voice was resolute.
"..." Both Alariv and Serenia looked at him, then at each other. Soon, she sighed her hand finding his head as she patted his gently.
For a moment, no one said anything. Alex found it odd, these people seem to genuinely care about him or at least the old Raymond.
It wasn't that he doubted their kindness or thought they had any ulterior motive or anything, it was just that this ventured off his philosophy, after all, he believed that be it on the Earth or even in this new world kindness often came to only those who can provide benefit.
Alariv broke the silence as he stood up from his chair.
"Well then kid, we have some work to do, so we will leave. Rest well."
Serenia also stood up, with a nod they both left him alone. Though just at the edge of the door, Alariv stopped then, as if remembering something he spoke.
"Also pack your things kid, we will be leaving for Zenderis Woods in a week." Then, without waiting for his answer he walked away.

Alariv and Serenia stepped out of Raymond's room as they both moved into the corridor.
"Did you also notice something changed in him?" Alariv was the first one to speak as he moved calmly.
"Well, it was kind of impossible not to notice it." Serenia said with a smile on her face, making her look truly beautiful.
"Haha, it's a good thing. He looked different from before." He said.
"Yes, unlike before his eyes didn't look dead this time. Rather they were pretty much full of life and maybe confusion?" She said with a little tilt of her head then continued.
"Though, I think that maybe, I should talk to some of our guild members…very nicely." She said as her voice turned cold for a moment.
Alariv watched her from the side.
"You really care a lot about him, huh. Is it because he reminds you of him?" He asked.
Listening to his words, a melancholic expression appeared on her face, as she spoke in a low voice.
"Maybe…i don't know to be honest. It's just that the boy had suffered too much for his age." She spoke.
Alariv smiled as he took her hand and squeezed it gently.
"That's what life is dear, for some it's the bed of roses, while for some it's the path filled with thorns. However, if one crosses that path and endures it. There will be no one who can stand against them."
"That sounds strange coming from my hot-headed husband." Serenia said, glancing at him with a smile.
"Oi, what do you mean hot-headed? The word cool was invented because of me." He said, puffing out his chest proudly.
Serenia chuckled at his behaviour.
"Yes yes, my cool husband."
"Hehe."

Raymond lay back down on his bed. His mind was now clear, the memories had been integrated and absorbed perfectly.
"Now then, let's finally see this thing." He said as he looked at the translucent system window in the corner of his vision.
It was very different from the original system window. The original system window in the game was blue and white however this one, it looked like it was made up of pure amethyst while golden lines coloured its edges like glowing veins.
He had been ignoring it, because of Alariv and Serenia were here however now without any hesitation he spoke.
"Status."
A window appeared in front of him immediately.

Raymond's jaw had hit the floor a long ago, as he saw his status. He doesn't want to brag about it however he could without a doubt say that his talent, yes not original Raymond's but his talent is no doubt top notch.
Heck, he could say it was comparable to the protagonist of the game. Not to mention, his abilities are also really good.
Though, his stats if we were to leave intelligence and Mana which had been increased after his soul and talents merged with this body. They were absolute trash.
It was not surprising why he hadn't heard the name Sylvaris in the game, except a few times. This guy just wasn't cut out for the academy and this world.
Heck, it's fortunate that he managed to live till fourteen years…
Pushing those thoughts aside, he tapped on his status window as the description of his talent was opened.

"Hehe." He couldn't help but giggle after seeing that, he had a supreme rank talent, two legendary rank talents and one growth type.
He could the individuals on hand who had Supreme rank talent…that was how rare it was. It was also the highest ranked talent a mortal could have in this game.
However, as he was basking in his happiness. A subtle chime of the system resounded in his head.
