Jess watched Nik's expression ,occasionally throwing glances towards Mu Chen.
Thirty minutes later , Nik finally lifted his head from his files , setting them aside
He dismissed everyone leaving the room to himself, jess and mu Chen
" House keeper MU pls repeat your report " Nik said calmly.
Mu Chen quickly put on an aggreived expression as she recounted the events of the afternoon....
" I hope u can grant me justice Master" Mu Chen said as she concluded her act wondering why Jess had not reacted yet even tho she had lied about so many things when relating the story to Nik.
" Jess may we hear your side of the matter" Nik spoke turning his gaze to Jess .
" I have nothing to say " , Jess replied almost instantly.
"and why is that ?"
" Because I have no idea what house keeper is talking about" Jess replied without a second thought
" Sir , I'm telling the truth please seek justice for me " mu Chen said her sorrowful expression cracked for a moment....this wench, she thought, how could she blatantly deny her involvement, truly despicable.
" Ok then , provide evidence that the mistress attacked you " Nik his expression somewhat perculiar
Mu Chen expression fell instantly
Proof.. where the hell was she supposed to get that , there were no maid servants around and she thought Jess would simply throw a tantrum before Nik could even decide as usual.
" Since u do not have proof then this matter is closed , you can take a few days off for your wounds to heal " Nik said and he stood up preparing to leave.
" Closed?" Jess scoffed..
" I have a matter that needs to be attended to husband,won't u humor me " Jess said with a smile
" Sure , what is it that is bothering you " Nik returned to his seat once more
" House keeper Mu is trying to frame me and I have proof of it"
"Master there must be a misunderstanding I wouldn't dare" Mu Chen stuttered as she tried to explain herself.
" Go on " Nik said his eyes fixed on Jess .
