Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

After which I laid down to sleep back. The next morning I woke up to a pair of hazel eyes glancing at me, because I just woke up I thought I was dreaming as I rubbed my eyes I remembered I save someone last night.

Thinking of this I stood up abruptly causing his to hiss since I rested on his injury. "sorry"

I muttered.

"miss thank you for saving my life, a life saving grace like this should be repayed by giving myself to you". The beautiful stranger said.

"no need for that" I said waving my hands.

"but you saved me" the man began.

"please don't let me regret doing that, I have to go to the university will you be leaving now?" I asked not really liking the way he is in my personal space.

"sure just give me your phone I would have to make a call" the man said.

I handed him the phone while I started preparing for school taking the clothes I would wear along with me to the bathroom.

When I came out, he handed me the phone after glancing at me with an unfathomable gaze he left after dropping his name.

"benefactor my name is Cosimo".

I glanced at his back as he left, checking the time and realizing I was getting late, I took my bag and headed to school.

As cosimo climbed the stairs which was creeking as if it will fall he thought of the girl who saved him.

When he woke up to her sleeping face the first thought That came to his mind was to possess her, take her as his own. Something was screaming at the back of his head telling him to claim her.

As he left the building a low key Maybach was parked at the front and a man came out of the car to help him open the door. As the car began to move Cosimo looked back glancing at the girl who was walking behind the car.

"slow down" Cosimo told the driver who already got the hint. As she passed by his car he wind down "how about taking you to school?".

I already noticed the car at my front which suddenly slowed down, as I passed by it I saw Cosimo was sitting inside and he asked to take me to school. Knowing I will be late if I continued walking I entered the car.

Some minutes later I was dropped at the front of my school muttering a thanks I left.

Cosimo glanced at the university and a smirked playfully appeared on his face.

"We gave this university some buildings right, place a call to the vice chancellor. I need everything on my benefactor. You know what to do?"

After saying this he closed his eyes.

After a whole afternoon of working on my thesis, I finally decided to go home. As I came out of the the lecture room I saw the director walking Cosimo, planning to just pass by without acting like I know him. after greeting them I continued walking until I had a "stop".

The director trying to please Cosimo asked "did she do something wrong?, we could suspend her if she did".

Cosimo glanced at him and said with a not right smile "that is not needed if you will excuse me I have something to say to this student".

I glanced at him as he grabbed my hands back to the room I just left. "Sofia, you saved my life and the only way to repay you is my body. How about we start dating?"

When I heard my name I raised a brow my thoughts were 'I definitely saved a bigshot'. I slowly turned my gaze into his eyes wondering what his thoughts are because if you would ask me I know I am nothing special not that I am not pretty but then again I am poor and an orphan.

"Okay," I agreed. I couldn't say why I did, but did it really matter?

Cosimo's heartbeat was the only thing he could hear after asking Sofia the question. Seeing she was silent, a flicker of fear crossed his mind after all, he had just met Sofia that morning, and already he felt this way. He worried that if she didn't agree, he might take her regardless of her consent and lock her up making sure she would only rely on him.

When I finally said yes, he was stunned. Happiness surged through him, and he asked again in a shaky voice, "Do you mean you would be my girlfriend?"

I looked at the stunned Cosimo and repeated firmly, "Yes, of course."

Before I could react further, he pulled me into a warm embrace, burying his face against my neck. I didn't feel uncomfortable, so I let him be.

"Then you should move out and live with me. I'll have a moving party pack your things," Cosimo said eagerly, pausing suddenly to gauge my reaction.

I smiled. "Okay. No need to call the moving party. We could go there to pack up".

Cosimo nodded while he felt a pang in his chest that his girl had lived a rough life but this made him hardened his resolve to take care of her making her only have him in her eyes, and we left the school building, heading toward the familiar black car from that morning. He opened the door for me and then returned to the driver's seat.

On the way to my house, I glanced at the street older people playing cards, children tossing sand. A small pang of nostalgia hit me; I realized I would miss this part of my life.

I stepped out of the car before Cosimo could open the door for me. "Can you wait for me in the car?" I asked, noticing him move to follow.

"I.. " he began, but I placed his large hand in mine and pecked him on the cheek.

"Wait for me. I'll be back soon."

Seeing he still wanted to protest, I added, "Okay, you can come find me in fifteen minutes."

"Ten minutes," he finally conceded.

"Alright," I said, turning toward my house. I glanced at the building I had lived in for the past few years since leaving the orphanage. Feeling nothing, I went straight to my room, opened the door, and began packing books for my thesis and project, clothes, shoes, and other miscellaneous items.
