The large golden door was pushed open once again. Two men stepped into the room. The envoy from the Vlamis Kingdom wore silver armor that reflected the light of the chandelier. The envoy from the Viortta Kingdom wore a thick, long dark gray robe.
They walked with their chins raised. Their footsteps sounded loud, striking the white marble floor. However, when their gazes met Tominus's glowing red eyes, their body movements instantly became stiff. They immediately lowered their heads and stopped stepping forward.
"As if looking at a monster," Tominus said. His face was flat without expression.
Martius crossed his arms over his chest. "You are indeed a monster."
Tominus ignored Martius's words. He stared intently at the two envoys. "I already know who you are. Everything about you. So there is no need to bother introducing yourselves."
Tominus pointed at the empty chairs at the dining table. "Sit."
The two envoys nodded stiffly. They pulled the chairs and landed their bodies simultaneously.
"Enjoy the food."
Tominus stared intently at the envoys. "Drink."
The two envoys quickly grabbed the water glasses on the table and drank their contents slowly.
"Eat," Tominus commanded again.
The Vlamis and Viortta envoys immediately took a piece of cake on the plate and chewed it soundlessly.
"Good." Tominus nodded slowly.
They are really obeying what he says. What is the king doing. Is he showing his absolute power to us through those commands, Aldes muttered in his heart.
Klaus leaned his body toward Tominus. "He will arrive soon," Klaus whispered very softly. "Just as I suspected. He came alone, Your Majesty."
He. Is it the representative of the dragons, Aldes muttered in his heart.
Valno tightened his fists under the table. Cold sweat flowed down his temples. The tips of his fingers trembled slightly, but he tried to maintain his facial expression to remain calm.
Portas and Martius stared straight at the golden door with very serious facial expressions.
The two envoys from the human kingdoms swallowed their saliva. Their postures became highly vigilant. Their eyes widened looking toward the door.
Why. What is going on. Why are they all like that, Aldes muttered. His eyes swept across the dining table.
"As fellow humans," Tominus said in a calm and flat voice. "I implore you not to be afraid."
Tominus looked at the people around him. "He is just a creature."
"Maintain our dignity."
Valno, Portas, Martius, Klaus, and Aldes nodded in unison. "Yes, Your Majesty."
Hearing the Emperor's calm voice, the two human envoys also calmed themselves down. Both of them stretched their shoulder muscles and assumed a relaxed sitting posture.
Tominus turned his head toward Aldes. The prince appeared to wear a flat and calm face without the slightest look of fear. Tominus raised one eyebrow. The Emperor chuckled softly, then turned his head back to face the door.
Not long after, the room temperature suddenly rose. A hot air pierced through Aldes's clothes and subtly burned his skin. The surface of the wine inside the glass on the table vibrated slowly.
The door opened again.
A man stepped inside with a relaxed and very polite walking style.
The man had golden blonde hair that flowed long past his shoulders. He wore a pristine white robe wrapped in silk cloth with intricate gold patterns typical of the eastern region. Two curved horns protruded on both sides of his head. His pair of eyes glowed brightly in a golden color.
The man's footsteps halted. He looked slightly surprised upon seeing Aldes's figure. He stared at Aldes with a confused and wondering facial expression.
For a few seconds, they stared at each other in silence. The man's golden eyes glowed brightly, locking onto Aldes's eyes.
Why. What is wrong with him. Is it strange seeing me here, Aldes muttered in his heart.
Aldes returned the horned man's gaze without fear. However, his physical body responded otherwise. A burning hot sensation stung Aldes's entire body and blood vessels right as he stared into those golden eyeballs.
The dragon race representative slowly shifted his gaze away from Aldes. He looked around the room and pulled the corners of his lips to form a gentle smile.
"Apologies for my tardiness, Your Majesty." The man placed his right hand on his left chest, then bowed to pay his respects.
The man stood upright again. "I am sure Your Majesty already knows my name. But let me introduce myself directly."
He let out a long breath. Warm air escaped from between his lips.
"My name is Vilavia Ragnazikri."
The man walked closer to the dining table. "I am the son of Husa Ragnazikri. As well as the crown prince of the dragon kingdom."
Vilavia once again formed a friendly smile and looked at everyone present in the room.
