Hajin leaned against the solid doorframe, watching the young woman work with methodical, razor-sharp focus and clear dedication.

"Why the strict separation between witness statements and civilian casualty records?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"In the capital courts, noble scribes deliberately merge survivor testimonies with administrative rumors," she replied with a scowl.
