Chapter 49 - chapter 48

Chapter 48: Delubyo

Zein's Point of View...

Giving up doesn't mean you are weak. Sometimes, it is better to let go of something that might hurt you for the better.

No matter what I do to listen to what Sir Alvarez is saying, I can't understand a thing. The lessons won't process in me because my mind is far away. Flying to many things and always falling back to the question - Where is he?

Since he was suspended, I haven't seen him. I don't know where he is, and Teacher Kath and Vice Ty aren't mentioning anything about him either.

As usual, the class ended, and I didn't understand anything. I quickly put all my things back in my bag when suddenly my eyes caught a box.

I first scanned my eyes around our classroom where I was the only one left inside. Sir Alvarez was gone too.

I took the box out of my bag and observed it. I don't know why, but my chest tightened as I recalled the times when everything wasn't this complicated. My lip trembled, so I just decided to dismiss everything that was bothering me.

I slowly opened it and took out the blade. I could clearly see my reflection in this blade, but a mark caught my attention.

A black dragon with red eyes. My forehead creased when a person's name crossed my mind when I saw the dragon's eye. Red... Scary... Raze.

Raze? OH.MY.GHAD!

"Who gave you that?"

In my shock, I dropped the knife which created a noise. I glared at Jerome who had a creased forehead while looking at me.

He picked up the knife and inspected it. His gaze went back and forth between the knife and me, and his forehead and eyebrow remained creased.

"Who the hell gave you this knife?"

"W-Why? What's with that knife?"

He took the box that was on my armchair and put the knife back in it. He placed it back on my armchair so I returned it to my bag.

"Don't you know what that mark means?"

"D-Devil God Warrior?" I answered questioning.

He smirked at me before putting his two hands in his pocket.

"I don't know why and who gave it to you... But that is the symbol of Raze Silvenia, not the Devil God Warrior." He said deeply.

My mouth slightly opened at what I heard and a lot of questions exploded.

"H-Huh? How did you know?" I asked confused.

This was given by Supremo not Raze. If it's true that Raze owns this blade, how did Ace get it?

"I am one of the Devil God Warriors."

My brain temporarily stopped processing because of what he said and I couldn't do anything but stare at him. He's a member of the DGW?! Is that why he's already with the H10? How? Why?

Is that why he leaves every night like Matt? But what's his reason? And... the two gangs are enemies so possibly-UGH! Why is it complicated?! My head hurts from thinking so much.

"Stop torturing yourself from so many damn questions, Zein. All your questions will be answered... soon."

I don't know why but the excitement within me disappeared every time I went to the SSG Office. Maybe because I am not expecting him to be there. Yeah, he wasn't there.

Even though I knew he wasn't there, I couldn't help but be disappointed when I saw his table vacant where not even a single item of his was there.

As usual, Teacher Kath and Vice Ty were busy with what they were doing. They probably didn't even notice me coming in.

I couldn't help but stare at the vacant table beside me. Where is he? I haven't seen him yet, I want to ask but shyness always gets the better of me.

Maybe, it's better this way. At least, I can better prepare for our meeting again because I can't face him now. It still hurts as if everything just happened earlier.

"It is better this way."

I stopped thinking when I saw Teacher Kath in front of me. I blinked a few times because she was smiling at me. I can't say it was fake because I felt and knew her smile was real.

"I didn't know you are this strong." She added. My mouth remained closed. I avoided my eyes from her because I'm not used to hearing those kinds of words from her. "Thank you." She added.

My chest tightened so I chose not to speak anymore. I don't understand her, I don't understand anything.

"Thank you for saving him."

I wanted to stop Teacher Kath from speaking because my chest felt tight. I wasn't ready to open the wound I was just hiding. Everything was still fresh.

"I-I just did what I was supposed to."

"Even if it kills. Because of you, Headmistress Violet's plan didn't push through."

My forehead creased, and I finally looked at her. She still had her curved lips.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She went back to her table and leaned her back against the swivel chair. She wasn't looking at me, but I was still waiting for her to answer my question. Vice Ty remained focused on what she was doing.

"Headmistress Violet has long been finding a way to remove President Ace from his position."

"Why?"

Why does she want to remove Supremo? What's her plan?

"She couldn't do it because the HU Students loved Supremo Ace. Ace won the hearts of all the HU students; they respected him. She couldn't just strip Supremo of his power because she knew it wasn't just us she would be fighting... The entire HU Students would oppose her."

I unconsciously smiled. Finally, I realized the importance of the sacrifice I made. At least my breathing became easier. Supremo Ace is such an excellent leader. And I am proud of him, so much.

"Until you came into his life... The Headmistress had a weapon to fight the person she couldn't handle. But you thwarted the Headmistress's evil plan... If you had been weak during those times, she probably would have succeeded with her plan."

"What is her plan?" A question that greatly bothered my mind.

"To enthrone her son."

I was stunned by what Teacher Kath said. Madame Violet has a son? Who? I didn't know.

"Liam Rivera, yep. Madame Violet Rivera's son."

I was completely stunned. I briefly closed my eyes to calm the wild questions in my mind. That's why... that's why he was with h10

I excused myself to get some air because I wanted to inhale some fresh air. My feet carried me to the secret garden, and I sat on the root of a tree and leaned my back against it.

Too much information.

I closed my eyes when I felt the cold wind hit my face. I felt like someone was hugging me.

My eyes remained closed, and I locked myself in a dark dimension.

My heart pounded when I saw a shadow of a person in the dark. FUCK! Though trembling, I forced myself to go near him, but I couldn't get closer. Every time I tried to approach, he moved further away.

But his physique... his presence... how the monsters inside me went wild. Fuck! Why am I seeing this?!

I was stunned when I saw another shadow behind him, a woman. My forehead creased when I realized she seemed to be protecting him.

Damn!

It felt like my heart stopped beating when I saw the two hugging. It hurt so much, like my heart was being sliced. What is this?!

I stepped back when I saw many shadows behind them holding bladed weapons. FUCK! I wanted to warn them, but nothing came out of my mouth. I tried to run to them, but they moved even further away.

Sweating profusely, I woke up from the darkness. I jumped when I felt something licking my hand. I smiled when I saw Hoy.

How many hours had I slept? I didn't realize I had fallen asleep here. I picked up Hoy and stood up because it was already afternoon.

I was stunned when I felt the presence of a person not far from me. My grip on Hoy tightened.

I suddenly remembered what Celine told me. Could it be that this person is watching me? What does he need? I tried to act normal.

I breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't follow me anymore. I just continued walking when someone grabbed my arm.

I was about to struggle when he signaled me to be quiet, which I did. He brought me to an empty place. He was trembling, so I couldn't help but feel nervous.

"W-What happened, Nurse Cha?" I asked nervously.

She held my two hands, so I put Hoy down for a moment. Her hands were trembling, which made the nervousness I felt worse.

"Z-Zein. I have bad news."

My mouth remained shut because I didn't know how I should react to what she said, all I knew was that I wouldn't like it. Damn!

My knees went weak when I saw a tear fall from her eye. Although confused, I held her hand to calm her down.

"T-They already know."

"Know what?"

She swallowed before bringing her mouth to my ear.

"They already know the secret formula," she whispered, which caused my hair to stand on end.

Only one thing was running through my mind right now... The deluge truly is near...
