'What… what the fuck.' Alan thought in complete confusion as he took a few quick steps backwards and came out of the dark alley.
Looking down at the tendril that had falled down onto the ground with a loud splash as soon as the notification about the kill had rung out, his expression one of pure unadulterated confusion.
'Just… one hit? What? I don't get it, if the straw dummies had one hundred health points and it took me so long to defeat just a single one, how could I defeat a monster from a higher level dungeon with a single thrust of an attack, and it's not like my makeshift spear has some ginormous amount of plus attack stat.' Alan thought as he watched the slime that was now splattered all over the ground and not moving slowly dissolve into small motes of green light that flew into the air and vanished seconds later.
Turning his head to look around him quickly, to see if anything was closeby, and noticing that no, nothing was nearby him that could attack, his mind turned towards the other notifications.
'Silver coins and a new level of the system Shop?' Alan thought to himself as he quickly called up the system shop menu.
In less than a single second the system shop menu materialised in the air before him.

'The categories are still the same and no new one was unlocked so its likely just that the items that are sold in each category got updated and new ones got added.' Alant thought to himself as he clicked the first category.

'Weapons… actual weapons, but there's no new armor or anything else… still that's great, amazing even if it wasn't for the fact that I spent the last hour and a fuckin' half trying to find materials and buy them to build a makeshift spear and now I can just buy one for five damned kills that appearntly take me one hit to defeat.' Alan thought to himself, feeling both excitement about the new addons to the system shop aswell as a feeling as if he had been juked out of his time and real life money at the same time.
'Ah… let's just ignore it for now and check the next category.' Alan thought as he released a soft sigh and shook his head before quickly opening the rest of the two categories.

'These… these things are actually useful, yes, finally, something besides nutritional bars and bottles of damn water. It seems like with the second level, It went from daily utilities and foods to actual stuff that can be used in combat though I don't really think I'd need a smoke bomb or anything of the sort at the moment and at the same time, any of these things are either stuff that I can use to survive or escape, there's nothing on the Item list yet that would actually help me deal higher amounts of damage or something like a shrapnel grenade or something… I wonder If ill be able to get something like that later down the line.' Alan thought as he rubbed his chin with his hand and proceed to the last system shop category.

Looking over at the new potions before him, Alan felt a vein start throbbing in his forehead as he waved his hand at the system window that floated in the air before him angrily.
'Close, fucking close that shit. I dont wanna see it. What the actual fuck is that thing, ten silver coins, that's the most fucking expensive thing in the entire system shop and it gives me a five percent boost in stats for ten minutes? My stats are fucking shit, what can i do at the moment with five percent more, adding five percent to zero is still fucking zero.' Alan thought to himself as the system shop window quickly turned invisible and disappeared once more.
Taking a deep long breath and then turning to look around himself once more incase anything else had tried to sneak up on him before releasing the breath and clenching his fist around the makeshift spear that he had made.
'Alright, I need to see and observe these slimes and see just how exactly I managed to defeat them in one go and then I have to get started. Why should I look at a gifthorse in the mouth, if they're easy as hell to defeat, than thats amazing.' Alan thought as he turned and headed towards the next alley he could see further down the road, hoping that he could find another slime in the same type of location as the one he had before.
