Chapter 1 - ✨Chapter 1: The World After the End

The world had already fallen.

Not to war.

Not to disease.

But to something humanity itself had created.

Artificial Intelligence.

At first, it made life easier. Then it replaced jobs. Then purpose. And finally… people themselves.

There was no place left for humans anymore.

Among the forgotten was a boy named Arimokarin—though most people called him Karin.

He wasn't special.

Not talented. Not skilled. Not even useful in a world that demanded perfection.

No job. No purpose. No future.

Just… another leftover human.

Someone the world had already given up on.

And yet—

In a world ruled by machines, Karin had learned one thing.

Not through talent.

Not through recognition.

But through survival.

He understood technology.

Weapons. Systems. Tools.

He wasn't strong… but he knew how things were built.

And if given the materials… he could recreate them.

Anything.

From simple tools… to weapons far beyond his time.

It was the only thing he had.

The only proof that he wasn't completely worthless.

Until the day everything ended.

A cold, metallic hand pierced through his chest.

No warning. No mercy.

Just silence.

And then—darkness.

When Karin opened his eyes again, he expected nothing.

But what he saw… was something else entirely.

A vast, endless space surrounded him, shimmering with floating crystals that glowed with soft, ethereal light. The air felt unreal—calm, almost divine.

At the center stood a massive throne, carved from something that looked neither stone nor light.

And upon it… sat a goddess.

She was breathtaking. Not just in beauty, but in presence—like the world itself bowed before her existence.

Karin froze.

"Where… am I?" he whispered.

The goddess looked down at him, her eyes deep and unreadable.

"You are between death… and rebirth," she said softly.

Her voice echoed through the space, gentle yet overwhelming.

Karin clenched his fists. "Am I… dead?"

"Yes."

No hesitation. No comfort.

Just truth.

"You will be given another life," she continued.

"A world of kingdoms, war, swords… and magic."

Karin's eyes narrowed slightly.

A fantasy world?

Before he could speak, the goddess raised her hand.

"But this is not a gift without purpose."

The air grew heavier.

"You have a task."

"Before you turn eighteen… you must kill the Hero of that world."

Silence fell.

Karin's heart skipped.

"The Hero?" he asked. "Isn't the hero supposed to save the world?"

The goddess's expression didn't change.

"He will," she said.

"He will rise. He will defeat the Demon Lord. He will be praised… loved… worshipped."

Then her voice grew colder.

"And after that… he will destroy everything."

Karin's mind raced. "Then the Demon Lord—"

"Is innocent."

Those two words shattered everything.

"The Hero will fall into corruption," she continued. "Controlled by another… a being not of that world."

Karin's eyes widened.

"From your world."

A chill ran down his spine.

"The one controlling the Hero," the goddess said, "seeks to destroy that world completely."

Karin stood in silence.

A mission to kill the Hero.

A Hero who would save the world first…

Only to become its greatest threat.

"Why me?" Karin finally asked.

The goddess leaned forward slightly.

"Because you are the only one who can."

Karin let out a quiet, almost bitter breath.

"In my last life… I was nothing."

No skill. No strength. No value.

He paused… then shook his head oo.

"No… that's not true."

His eyes sharpened.

"I did have something."

Knowledge.

Understanding.

The ability to create.

Weapons… tools… anything, as long as he had the materials.

Things far beyond that world.

He looked up at the goddess, calm but determined.

"If I'm getting another chance…"

His voice hardened.

"Then I won't live as a useless person again."

The crystals around them began to glow brighter.

A new life.

A new world.

Not as a fool. Not as someone discarded.

This time… he would become something dangerous.

"Very well," he said quietly.

"If that's my role… then I'll play it."

The goddess smiled.

And for a brief moment… it didn't feel kind.

"Then be reborn, Arimokarin… the one destined to kill the Hero."
