The return trip made Calypso look to the right and to the left, the world was extremely similar to the previous one, but hundreds of years in the future, seeing the modernization of humans fascinated her.
Rigel managed to get a dress for Calypso, although the material wasn't made of magical materials, many wizards still used more common 'materials' like silk. The difficult part was finding a dress that 'suited' wizards. Luckily, he had dozens of these clothes in his treasure, all noble and worth a lot of money. Rigel only stored them because he had enough space.
Calypso wore a black dress, something Rigel could imagine Walburga wearing, all that was missing was a cape, but that was the least of her worries.
Rigel put Ragnarok back in his storage, he didn't need to shrink it into a bottle, as it was attached to Jormun, and the entire ship was considered an enchanted item. Rigel was able to place it directly in his treasure.
He and Calypso transformed into their mermaid forms and swam to the beach. Calypso was ultimately slower than Rigel, leaving her very unhappy, but in the end, when Rigel had to hug her to move faster, her unhappiness quickly evaporated, making Rigel roll his eyes at the smile on the woman's face.
When they reached the coast, Rigel returned to human form with Calypso, the two dried themselves off and tidied themselves up, before going to an empty street and Rigel waving his wand, summoning the Knight Bus again.
The collector, Stan Shunpike, looked at Rigel doubtfully, but said nothing. However, looking at Calypso, his eyes flickered, he was clearly extremely attracted, but as soon as he smiled, Calypso gave him a look of extreme contempt.
Normally, Calypso tended to use seduction as a weapon, so her standard response while she was Dalma was a seductive smile, but now that she was a 'committed woman', she also knew how much Rigel hated that, so she adopted her 'goddess' persona.
A persona that would please the women of the Black family more than Rigel could say, at the very least, apart from his aunt Andromeda, whether it was his mother or his aunt Narcisa, in addition to Walburga herself, they would all nod contentedly at the look on Calypso's face at that moment.
Rigel felt that Calypso's gaze reminded him of Walburga more than he would have liked, he shuddered at the mere thought of her.
The man awkwardly looked away, even forgetting to collect the fare. When they got off at Grimmauld Place, No. 12, Calypso still seemed full of energy. The trip had left her very excited, she had never been in a vehicle before, and her first experience was on a Knight Bus, which made her incredibly thrilled.
Not even the dizzying speed could dampen her excitement, when they arrived, she felt she still wanted to 'stroll' a little longer, but this time she wanted to drive!
Rigel was unaware of Calypso's inner thoughts, instead, he waved his wand, and before Calypso's astonished eyes, the buildings began to shift sideways, the walls slowly restructuring themselves until a new house appeared.
"Is this because of the Statute of Wizarding Secrecy?" Calypso asked curiously.
"Yes." Rigel nodded, before stepping forward and opening the door for her, letting her enter first.
Calypso entered, the smell of the old house hit her nose, but Calypso had lived in much more precarious conditions before, she didn't mind that, the only thing she could complain about was the lack of humidity.
As soon as they passed through the door, a small figure apparated in front of them. Kreacher looked at Calypso with apprehension evident in his eyes, but since she came with Rigel, he said nothing.
Before Kreacher could say anything, Rigel spoke first. "Kreacher, this is Calypso Valliere, the bride my grandmother arranged for me before she died. She came from Andorra and is moving here."
Kreacher froze slightly, his eyes widening slightly. The elf seemed to think of something, a memory in the back of his mind, of the lady asking him to send a letter by owl to Andorra, about her speaking of a bride, about the contract having been signed. Kreacher wondered why he had forgotten something so important, but now that he remembered, he no longer doubted Calypso's identity.
"Welcome, my lady, to the oldest and noblest house of the Blacks." Kreacher bowed deeply, acknowledging Calypso's status.
"Of course, thank you for having me, little one." Calypso smiled, bent down, and patted the elf on the head, clearly curious about this new creature.
Kreacher didn't know how to react to this, except to think that the future lady was very kind. For a moment, the elf didn't know how to react, but although Calypso's divine energy was still sealed, her charm was still evident. Kreacher barely knew her, but he already liked this new 'Lady Black', even though she wasn't yet 'the lady' or a 'Black'.
Kreacher planned to give Walburga the good news as soon as possible, which made the elderly elf quite excited.
Rigel observed everything with a smile playing at the corner of his mouth. Looking at Kreacher, he noticed the elf's age. House-elves live quite long lives, wizards have very different life expectancies, perhaps due to some lineage of magical creature they refuse to admit. Some can live as long as a long-lived Muggle, while others can live hundreds of years without something like the Philosopher's Stone. Perhaps that's why wizards weren't so eager to plunder Nicolas Flamel.
House-elves could also easily live for a hundred or two years, even in its current degraded state, Kreacher had been with the Blacks for generations, and several others before him, their heads still in the house, though out of Rigel's sight, he really didn't have such a morbid mood as to enjoy looking at such things.
Rigel possessed the Gods' Blood potion, once he brewed it, he could let Kreacher drink it.
Leaving that aside, Rigel took Calypso to see the house, and Kreacher went to clean a spare room for her, although he still didn't know that Calypso had never planned to stay in a room other than Rigel's.
Even if he knew, Kreacher would be very happy, in terms of wanting 'little demigods', as long as their last name was Black and their mother was pureblood, Kreacher would raise his hands and feet in support.
Since Calypso had been chosen by Walburga, Kreacher knew without a doubt that she was pureblood.
In any case, Kreacher is extremely happy with Calypso's arrival, the Black house has been empty for long enough! Even his hunched back was a little straighter as he hummed softly while cleaning the room.
