Chapter 122 - Chap.119 - Identity - Part 2

Returning home, Rigel greeted Kreacher, then went back to his room, where he took a thick, dusty book from the shelf, it was a book from almost 50 years ago, but it was still up-to-date enough for what he wanted.

He even asked Kreacher to look for other books on witch genealogy for him.

He stayed up late into the night researching, looking for pure-blood wizards who died without children or close relatives, and by the time he finally put together a complete family tree, it was already dawn.

Rigel sighed wearily, his body was still fine, but his mind was already tired. He threw himself onto the bed right after putting the list away. Tomorrow he could work out the final details, the rest would depend on the identity card.

The next day, he left even earlier after eating the breakfast Kreacher had made. Seeing the elf's confused gaze, he went out once more, this time hiding in an alley and teleporting directly to Ragnarok.

Calypso didn't come to him as soon as he arrived, which surprised him for a moment, he found her sleeping sprawled out on his bed.

Well, he forgot that she had turned human, she needed to sleep and no longer sensed when Rigel was around.

Looking at the figure sleeping face down, completely oblivious to her surroundings, he paused for a moment, it was the first time he had seen her sleep so comfortably.

He thought for a moment, let her sleep, and went to the table, picking up his notebook and reviewing the data he had collected, adding more details where he could.

Rigel didn't even notice when Calypso woke up. She blinked and disoriented, confused, looking around and seeing Rigel at the table. She smiled, feeling happy that he was there. It had been quite a while since she'd left him, those few hours had made her toss and turn in bed, only managing to fall asleep in the early hours of the morning.

She tried not to make a sound as she stood up, picked up her wand, wiped herself silently, then approached him from behind and hugged him. Rigel froze for a moment, his body stiffening, before he returned to normal.

He knew very well who was hugging him.

He didn't separate them, he just said. "Good morning."

"Good morning." She said, showing no desire to separate, but Rigel grunted, making her roll her eyes and let go of him.

Rigel turned his head, glancing briefly at her before looking away, picking up the notebook and handing it to her. "Take a look."

There was a lot of information in small cursive print, Calypso read it carefully. Several pages detailed the life of a girl, a girl named Calypso Valliere.

"Valliere?" Calypso asked, interested.

"A French surname, your 'father' was part of the old French Valliere family, but they're extinct by now, which is perfect, except the last 3 members were all killed without bodies to show for it, the last one was burned by Grindelwald, well, now he had a distant cousin, your grandfather, who disappeared one day never to be found again." Rigel explained, picking up a large book with slightly yellowed, faded pages and pointing to the chapter on the family. "This family is also great because the Vallieres didn't have family accounts at Gringotts."

Calypso nodded, she wasn't too concerned about the last name. "It sounds perfect."

"Yes, there are probably still some loose ends, but they're too small to be problematic unless someone digs very deep, which is unlikely to happen." Rigel shrugged. "Furthermore, by that time, if everything goes well, you'll already be very connected to the network of interests of the Purebloods, profit always makes the world go round."

"Okay, what do we do now?" Calypso asked curiously.

"Now I'm going to use this item to make it real. You'll receive fragmented memories about this backstory, not just you, but everyone you 'interacted' with. Even the documents will show your name, as if you've always existed." Rigel explained, taking a document that looked like a scroll from his magic bag.

Calypso looked curiously at the bag that appeared and disappeared, but didn't ask. Instead, she looked at the scroll. Rigel picked up the parchment, and using his quill, he began to write everything he had planned on it. The rest, things he couldn't think of but which were important for a true identity, would be filled in by the parchment itself.

The next moment, the scroll shattered in a burst of energy. Calypso, standing beside him, widened her eyes, she seemed to have remembered an entire 18-year life, though only fragments, marking the most important moments. Even so, it was incredible.

On the table, a series of documents formed: birth certificates, certificates of academic competence, travel records, work experience records... Calypso looked at them, she remembered each one, as if they had always been hers.

Rigel leafed through the documents and briefly reviewed them, nodding in agreement, it was done.

Calypso didn't even need Rigel to tell her what to do, she already knew. She came to England to 'meet' her fiancé and start a potion business, even the permit for that was already among the pile of documents, as was the approval for permanent residency.

Taking a deep breath, Calypso finally felt a little better, appearing out of nowhere in a new and unfamiliar world, although she didn't show it, still made her nervous.

Even the sea here was unfamiliar and didn't respond to her as it had before. although this was because she had 'lost' her divine power.

Now, she could remember having lived here, though few, the memories were still vivid, she even understood witch society better through it.

"Alright, now I just need to buy a house." Calypso said. "Besides, in those memories, I met several wizards who could be useful, like smugglers, black markets, and markets for rare items. It will probably be useful for gathering ingredients, I know the addresses of most of them, I just need an owl."

"Yes, I gave you an extremely versatile experience, I didn't expect it to be useful at this point." Rigel was a little surprised, but nodded, satisfied.

Calypso nodded, smiling, then spoke. "The money?"

Rigel rolled his eyes, but still pulled out dozens of kilos of gold and some precious stones, that would be enough for Calypso to get a huge pile of galleons from the goblins. He pulled out another bag with the Traceless Stretching Spell, smaller than the one he was using, but it was legal, so it would be useful for Calypso.

Calypso readily agreed, not at all bothered by taking money from Rigel.

Firstly, because she herself had seen how much wealth Rigel possessed, and secondly, that treasures were merely something trivial to her, something that only humans valued.

Well, she's human again now.

"At this point, Kreacher should remember you, you can stay at my house until you buy your own." Rigel said, then thought for a moment and added. "Kreacher is my house-elf."

Calypso nodded, she knew what those creatures were, but instead, she was excited to see Rigel's house.
