Rigel watched silently as the crew filled the Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad, or to shorten it, Santísima Trinidad.
They were back in Atlantis.
Dozens of pirates, with the help of zombies, continued to fill the ship with all sorts of valuable things.
It was time to leave.
Rigel had spent months in this world, but it felt like years. He looked around, the city he had built in Atlantis was already completely different. Civilians were walking everywhere, the city had grown to accommodate them all.
However, most of them were leaving, after he was gone, Rigel would completely seal off the place. Only mermaids would be able to enter and leave, only those who wanted to remain on the island forever would stay, the others would be taken away.
Rigel had already collected the pearls, now inside Ragnarok.
He called the pregnant queen bee and the pregnant moth.
Rigel waved his hand and a golden bookmark appeared in his hand. Looking at it, he pointed to the bee. The next moment, the bee transformed into a trail of light before entering the bookmark.
In the golden highlighter, the shape of the bee appeared, the bee did not resist, so it was easily collected.
Rigel did the same with the moth.
Two of the twelve markers had been used, Calypso observed this with calm eyes, there was no smile on her face, she simply watched what Rigel was doing.
Then Rigel summoned the Kraken, and as soon as the colossal figure appeared near the port, civilians and pirates alike were shocked, but the shock was even greater when Rigel used a marker to collect the Kraken as well.
Jack was next, then the compass, and finally, when the Santísima Trinidad was completely full, Rigel shrunk it with the crown and used the bookmark on it, the bottle shape with a ship inside appeared on the bookmark.
Six bookmarks were used, he wouldn't leave immediately, so he kept his wand with him.
Rigel turned and looked at Will, Anamaria, Elizabeth, John, Billys... and the rest of his original crew. He smiled at them, waving his wand. A medium-sized chest filled with gold landed in front of each of them, it was their payment for their time there.
His eyes swept over Will and Elizabeth, waving to them, Will waved back, Elizabeth was clearly holding back tears.
Rigel chuckled softly, looked away, it was best not to get too attached, the time was drawing near.
Rigel's gaze fell upon Clemens.
"Do you still want to go?" Rigel asked.
Clemens pursed his lips, but in the end his eyes became steady, nodding. Rigel looked at him for a moment and turned to Calypso.
"Would you mind?" He asked.
Calypso nodded slightly, still without that cheerful and calm expression, only a cold calm.
Rigel ignored it, pretended not to see, he was forcing himself not to think about it. He considered for a moment asking her to come with him, but in the end he gave up. He didn't know what would happen if he brought Calypso, besides, she was dangerous.
Yes, he couldn't take that risk.
Rigel held this idea firmly in his mind, but why did he feel this horrible sensation? This tug in the pit of his stomach, this cold feeling down his back, this tightness in his throat...
Rigel ignored it.
Rigel shook Clemens' hand, and over their eyes, Clemens pledged loyalty, promising to serve him for as long as his life lasted. Rigel, in turn, promised to treat him well and not force him into anything that would go against his conscience.
Finally, the agreement was sealed. Rigel was about to collect Clemens, but at that moment, Anna stepped forward. "Captain! Can you take me too?"
Rigel was a little surprised, looking at Anna, who looked into his eyes with absolute certainty that she was making the right choice.
"Anna..." Clemens said, his lips twitching.
Anna looked at Clemens, gave a gentle smile, before turning to Rigel, maintaining a serious expression. "I can make the same oath."
Rigel narrowed his eyes, looking between them, he saw that there was something else there.
He rolled his eyes, finally letting out a tired sigh. "Of course, Calypso, please."
Calypso simply raised her wand again, and soon Anna had also taken her oath, and Rigel his. In the end, he collected them both in the golden bookmarks.
Calypso watched the bookmarks as they slowly disappeared, her lips twitching slightly, she seemed to understand something.
Rigel came from outside, from the void where destiny was uncertain, she felt his gaze intensifying during that time, and also felt the emptiness in her chest as she knew the moment had arrived.
Neither of them said anything, but the smiles faded, the silence deepened. Not that comfortable silence between them, but a sad and cold silence.
Calypso opened her mouth, but she closed it again.
She was confused, Rigel hadn't asked her to go, hadn't he wanted to take her? If he had asked, She would have gone with him.
She was certain she would say yes, even knowing that the future is unknown.
However, he didn't ask.
She waited, waited some more, the weight growing inside her.
The two remained silent.
Rigel still had 3 bookmarks – actually there were 4, but one was reserved for his wand.
He had already asked the Adventure Book, the bookmarks were only valid in this world, and if he wanted to bring things from another world, he needed to earn the Magic Passports from those worlds.
Rigel thought he could take a few more ships, perhaps the Silent Mary? He could easily go back to where he left off, with Calypso's blessing, he knew exactly where he had been and where he needed to go.
Rigel hadn't left yet, he had one last thing to do.
He boarded Ragnarok again, he, the zombies, and Calypso, the other ships followed soon after, quickly drifting him away from that island.
Those who remained would become islanders.
When the last of them left, Rigel used the crown to seal the place, only the mermaid part would be submerged, not the men's part. Calypso was also kind enough to place a curse on the island, if anyone killed a mermaid, they would be dragged to the depths, condemned to never pass on to the afterlife for eternity.
Rigel made sure the islanders knew about this, he didn't want a massacre to happen in the future. He had no doubt about the adaptability and propagation capabilities of humans.
They chose to stay, let them face the consequences.
After escaping the storm, the ships scattered far away, the sound of cannons echoing across the sea, it wasn't an attack, it was a farewell.
Rigel looked back, seeing those idiots wasting cannonballs, he chuckled lightly, picked up his wand and pointed it upwards, a platinum mist emanated from his wand, rising into the air, and the figure of a mermaid appeared. The Patronus in the form of Calypso.
The great mermaid waved slightly, bidding farewell to them all, a roar was heard from each ship, the pirates bidding farewell to their king.
Everyone was excited, but to the side, Calypso stared at her spectral figure.
Her confused eyes finally seemed to become steady. She made her choice.
