Chapter 72 - Chap.72 - Project

"Why are you after Atlantis anyway? You don't look poor at all." Calypso didn't speak directly about the island, but asked curiously, throwing herself onto Rigel's bed and propping her head up with one arm.

Rigel pursed his lips, but said nothing. He went to the table, picked up a chair, turned to it, sat down, and spoke. "I just want to see for myself."

It was a random excuse, and Calypso noticed, but she didn't care, instead, she spoke. "In that case, I can take you directly there, the magic protecting the island can't stop me."

Rigel frowned and spoke. "No, the goal is an adventure, I must get there on my own. Besides, wouldn't that make my quest for the three sapphires pointless?"

Calypso blinked, her eyes growing brighter as she looked at Rigel. She bit her lip slightly. The next moment, Calypso disappeared from the bed. Behind him, Rigel felt a pair of soft arms wrap around him, sending a shiver down his spine.

Calypso's mouth came close to his ear. "Careful, Rigel, you're becoming my weaker control. If you keep saying things like that..." Calypso let out a deep moan in his ear.

Rigel jumped straight away, Calypso didn't stop him, only let out a soft laugh, looking at him with growing affection.

Rigel swallowed hard, his heart racing.

Calypso finally seemed to have sensed that enough was enough before Rigel truly became angry. Although she possessed all her power now, enough that this little Witch couldn't do anything to her, she still felt that her fate seemed strange when she forced herself upon Rigel.

As if she were going to lose something or even die.

She didn't know what was dangerous about Rigel, nor how he would manage to escape her, but she knew that once she crossed the line, Rigel could become furious and flee or fight back.

"Atlantis... here, this will take you there." Calypso ran her finger through her hair and took a small white shell from it, approaching and placing it in Rigel's hand. "When you want to go to Atlantis, say: 'My beloved, Calypso.'"

Rigel rolled his eyes at the woman who smiled happily. He took the shell anyway, he didn't think she was deceiving him. If she wanted to harm him, now that her power was restored, she could simply create a storm so big it would drown him in the sea.

"Triton's Shell is in my room, you can take it directly." Calypso continued, approaching and lightly running her hand across his face, making Rigel tremble with discomfort, but he didn't move, not because he didn't want to, but because he seemed paralyzed. "When you reach the mermaids, just say my name, they will give you what you need, including the Sapphire."

"I will always be with you, my little hero." Calypso promised, before bending down and planting a light kiss on his forehead. Then, as if she had never been there, the woman vanished like the wind.

Rigel blinked, blinked again, staring at the empty space. He looked around, searching for Calypso hidden somewhere. Jormun also helped, searching the entire ship with his consciousness, but found nothing.

Rigel sighed, went to Calypso's room, and there, the woman's things had disappeared, only the seashell remained on the unmade bed. Rigel could still smell the sea in that place. He shook his head, picked up the seashell, and left quickly.

Rigel looked at the rewards this time, first, he received another fragment of the Triton Sapphire, something he had already expected. Now he just needed to go after the mermaids.

The flintlock pistol, on the other hand, has been updated again. Effect one hasn't changed, but effect two has changed from hitting an apple at 100 meters to hitting a coin at 100 meters. The difference seems small, but in real combat, it's a clear difference.

Finally, the third effect surprised Rigel, the bullets gained a powerful exorcism effect, causing true damage to creatures of darkness. He believes it might even be able to kill a Dementor when he returns.

In the end, the pistol progressed considerably and became another useful weapon for Rigel.

The next reward was something unexpected, a potion recipe? Was this the first time he'd received this type of reward, in the Project category? Sounds interesting.

The effect surprised him, breaking curses? For a moment Rigel frowned, after all he didn't think that effect would be very useful to him, he already had Diabolus for that, in addition to the Count's coffin and now even the Legendary Flint had the power to affect beings of darkness.

However, Rigel considered another point, although the coffin's effect is strong, it takes time. He had never actually been cursed enough to test it, but it would probably take a long time, and besides, he couldn't let just anyone use his coffin.

Finally, if he creates this potion, he can probably cure vampirism, lycanthropy, and even other curses, right? Becoming the sole supplier of this type of potion in the Harry Potter universe could give him enormous influence.

In the future, he might even earn an Order of Merlin for this and use this potion to secure deals that money couldn't buy.

After all, nobody knows when they'll end up cursed, messing with the only wizard capable of creating a potion that can cure most curses? He'll practically be a Nicholas Flamel, but a version where he wouldn't keep the elixir of life to himself.

Thinking about all this, Rigel felt encouraged for a while, this potion wasn't useless after all, perhaps he would even find other uses for it in the future.

In any case, when Rigel looked at the recipe, it seemed to be engraved directly in his mind, as was the method of preparation, each step seemed firmly imprinted in his mind, and although he still lacked practical experience, at the very least he wouldn't go wrong by missing some detail.

The latest achievement surprised Rigel, well, it wasn't that he didn't expect to receive something for freeing Calypso from her seal, but he expected something more tangible, not a blessing.

This was also the first time he had received this type of reward.

The effect is moderate, for example, now he could know exactly where he was in the sea, as well as the direction he should take, even without a compass, stars, or any other reference point, he knew exactly where he was and which way to go.

As for never going hungry, it's not that he doesn't need to eat anymore, but as long as he's at sea, he would always find food, whether it's fish, seaweed, or anything else edible, he seemed to sense where he needed to go to find food.

The effect related to the proximity of marine life would have to be tested in the future, but for now, Rigel focused on the latter effect.

His lips trembled, he felt this effect had nothing to do with the book. Calypso was simply keeping an eye on him, even more so with the note afterward. He didn't want to call Calypso only for her to push him onto the bed right afterward, he decided not to call her except in life-or-death situations.
