Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: WTF, Heartless?

Little Six's information appeared before Mono's eyes.

As expected, Little Six's stats were just like her performance in the original plot—much stronger than his.

It was truly pathetic that he, a male, couldn't match a girl's strength and Speed.

Mono adjusted his emotions, reached his hand forward again, and smiled.

"Here, for you~"

Little Six instinctively took a step back, but seeing that Mono didn't continue to approach, she silently locked eyes with him for a moment before slowly moving her feet.

She slowly reached out her hand.

Wu Qing saw that those thin, small hands were covered in scratches and wounds.

As he was observing, a dark shadow suddenly flashed by.

"Eh?"

Mono was startled, but before he could react, he realized the music box in his hand was gone.

Then, his body was sent staggering by a bump.

*Pitter-patter*

Little Six's figure ran toward the door.

"Hey, you damn bastard, where are you going? Wait for me!"

Mono hurriedly shouted.

However, Little Six didn't stop at all; she dove straight through the broken hole and disappeared from Mono's sight.

"WTF, are you really this heartless?"

Mono felt a bit depressed.

Nevertheless, he slowly stood up and walked toward the door.

He wasn't panicked.

Because he knew that although Little Six was stronger than him, it would still be very difficult for her to escape this place relying on her strength alone.

If she was smart, she should know that she needed to make good use of him to have a chance.

Of course, Mono naturally wouldn't be foolishly used by Little Six like before, only to be betrayed by her in the end.

He decided that once he gained the power to protect himself, he would betray her first to prevent the original tragedy from happening.

Mono climbed out of the dim Basement and returned to the First Floor, which was filled with dismal light.

He listened warily for a moment, and after hearing no footsteps, he slowly moved and searched around.

He had just climbed in through the window, but after jumping down, there was no way to climb back out from the inside.

He changed direction and walked to the side.

Mono poked his head out and looked into the room to the east.

When he saw three figures sitting by the Table in the room, he quickly pulled his head back.

After a long time, hearing no movement, he slowly peeked out again.

Taking a closer look, he realized those three figures were completely motionless.

Mono realized that these three people might be the three adults in the game who had been turned into puppets.

These dolls were arranged in a semi-circle; it was hard to imagine why the Hunter would do such a thing.

Was he afraid of being too lonely while eating, so he wanted someone to accompany him, thus turning the three people into puppets?

Mono didn't know the Hunter's thoughts; perhaps he had none and was simply acting on cruel instinct.

Mono paced forward again, heading into the room.

He glanced around his surroundings.

He discovered another large door on the other side of the room.

However, the door was designed for adults; with his current strength and size, he couldn't reach it, let alone open it.

Mono turned his head to look upward.

He saw a small ventilation window situated atop a tall cabinet.

The window led to the room on the other side.

Mono took a look and walked toward the dining Table.

Climbing up the stool legs, he crawled onto the Table.

As soon as he jumped onto the tabletop, Mono was nearly knocked unconscious by a foul stench.

Looking down, he realized that what was laid out on the Table wasn't some delicious dinner, but a bloody...

He turned his head to look at the three puppets still sitting by the Table.

It looked like a family of three.

the woman was wrapped in layers of cloth like a mummy.

The man's skin was shriveled, a large chunk of his lower body was hollowed out, and his jaw had fallen off somewhere; his entire being had become a dried corpse.

As for the boy, an unknown tissue had burst from his right eyeball, looking like a thin-film bag filled with pus that could explode at any moment.

Mono suppressed his nausea and turned away.

Although he had already seen many cruel sights before, seeing such a scene again still made him feel sick to his stomach.

He was now certain that the Hunter was definitely a pervert.

Using the Table as a springboard, Mono jumped onto the adjacent cabinet.

Then, he climbed through the window on the cabinet, flipped over, and landed in another room.

As soon as he landed, he was startled.

Someone was here.

He quickly looked warily at the dark shadow that had leaped past, but then felt a sense of amusement.

Wasn't this exactly Little Six, who had just bumped into him?

Little Six was currently hanging from a rope.

She seemed to be preparing to pull the rope, but her weight didn't appear to be enough.

Mono slowly stepped out.

"Who's there!" Little Six was startled and quickly let go, falling from the rope.

Looking back, she saw a figure wearing a square paper bag slowly walking toward her.

"It's you!" she blurted out, then instinctively retreated two steps, subconsciously taking a defensive stance.
