Bryce's POV.
For whatever reason, Vivian Rose had come back from their latest breakup with a bit of a backbone. She was no longer as easy to walk all over. Some would have called that a good development, but for Bryce, it was annoying.
Not only that, it was unsettling in ways that he did not like thinking about. He actually had to be extra careful with his flings. Something told him that if she found out about the other women, even though she said the two of them were just hanging out without expectations, the little contact that he had with her would stop.
He did not like having to censor himself like that at all.
He had not cared whether she found out if he was cheating or not when the two of them had been boyfriend and girlfriend. Now all of a sudden he was having to tread lightly when they were nothing to each other, how inconvenient.
