Ivory
A low groan left my mouth as soon as I drifted back into consciousness and I winced, pain rushing into my entire body like needles. My throat felt dry like sand, and it felt like I got ran over by a truck.
I struggled to sit up, my eyes still feeling glued close until I tried harder to get it open.
"Madame Anabel!" I gasped out in shock once my eyes open and I realized I was in somewhere that resembled a hospital, with an IV hooked to my veins. Right beside my bed stood Anabel who quickly snatched her hand away from my chest area, which almost looked like it was glowing a warm bright color for a fleeting moment.
Or perhaps I was just seeing things.
"You're awake, good." She gritted out, her voice and eyes hard as she looked me up and down, disapproval starkly painted over her face.
