"Like brother in law and sister in law, right?" I asked and he barked out a laugh.
"Fuck, no. Just as… friends."
My cheeks flushed for a moment.
"Oh." I mumbled and he hummed, then he reached out and took my hand in his. His touch felt warm, comfortable and sodt so I didn't pull away, and his thumb lightly stroked my knuckles.
"Yeah, that's gonna be some cool shit. You've caught my intrigue and I really wanna get to know you."
The sincerity in his voice made me feel a little shy and giddy and I realized that even back when I was supposedly in love with Jaden, his words never sounded this gentle and sincere to me before.
"I guess we can be friends then, and get to know each other. I- I'd like to get to know you too." I finally admitted and he flashed me a grin that made my stomach flutter.
