Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Giant Aircraft Carrier, Gaia AI!!

In the pitch-black darkness, the feeling of weightlessness on Jenny's body vanished instantly, but the aftereffects from that weightlessness still lingered strongly.

"What the hell is going on? Why does this game hit you with such high intensity right from the start!!!"

Jenny patted her chest, unable to stop gasping as she tried to calm herself down.

"I feel like I just fell from ten thousand meters up. It's scarier than riding a damn roller coaster!"

Hearing Jenny say this, the viewers couldn't help but get jealous.

[What are you complaining about? We wish we could experience it but can't!]

[Yeah, getting all the benefits and still acting spoiled!]

[But the graphics in this game are still as realistic as ever. It really feels like a movie.]

Before long, Jenny's vision finally cleared up.

Only then did she have the chance to look around. It was a fully enclosed circular room. The walls and ceiling were made of some kind of pure white metal.

There was a transparent hatch at the top and bottom of the room, with a metal ladder standing vertically in the middle.

On one wall of the room, there was also an embedded LCD screen displaying a line of text.

Main power: Normal Hull integrity: Good Environment: Ocean of an unknown planet Atmospheric composition: Oxygen/Nitrogen

[This must be the escape pod. Whoa, nice design, full of sci-fi vibes. I feel like I've really traveled to the future.]

"Eh, the room I'm in is swaying slightly. It must be floating on the ocean surface!]

Jenny analyzed out loud in a rapid stream.

[Stop standing there like an idiot, Jenny. Go outside and take a look!]

[Yeah, go check it out!]

The viewers urged her frantically.

"Alright."

Jenny climbed the ladder in the center of the room to the upper hatch, pushed hard, and opened it.

Whoosh!

Blinding sunlight hit her face. Jenny instinctively squinted. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, she was instantly stunned by the scene before her!

What met her eyes was an endless expanse of azure ocean, stretching as far as the eye could see!

At this moment, Jenny was completely isolated in the middle of this vast sea, with only the escape pod beneath her providing her one and only foothold!

Splash...

Jenny heard the flow of seawater below. She could even smell the unique salty, fishy scent of the ocean!

"My god!!!"

Jenny clutched her head and shouted. The sea of blue before her made her dizzy, nearly causing her to fall into the ocean!

She quickly squatted down, steadying herself with both hands on the escape pod below.

The viewers were also completely shocked.

[Holy shit?!]

[Is this seriously a game?!]

[I feel like Jenny has actually been transported to the ocean surface!!!]

[I have the exact same feeling!]

[Look at these waves, the reflections on the water, and that glaring sun in the sky. How is this any different from the real world?!]

The viewers were truly impressed. Silent Hill had taken place indoors in narrow spaces. Although it was very realistic, the lighting was dim, so it didn't feel as vivid.

But Subnautica was completely different. It opened with a fully open world with no boundaries at all, and it was extremely bright!

Under these conditions, the sense of realism the game presented created a shock far, far stronger than Silent Hill!

This level of realism had already surpassed the special effects in Hollywood movies. It was almost indistinguishable from reality!

"My god, I feel like crying right now. Is this really just a game?"

Even Jenny couldn't help but exclaim. Looking down at the ocean below, she gripped tightly with both hands, afraid of falling.

BOOM!

Suddenly, an explosion sounded behind her.

"What was that?"

Jenny jumped in fright again. She quickly turned around and was once more stunned by the sight before her eyes.

In the distance, countless kilometers away on the sea surface, lay a massive spaceship!

No, it couldn't be called a spaceship. It should be called a giant aircraft carrier!

This aircraft carrier was so enormous that it took up roughly one-third of Jenny's entire field of vision.

More than half of the carrier was submerged in the sea, like a giant wall cutting through the ocean surface!

However, at this moment, raging flames were burning across the aircraft carrier. It looked like it had suffered extremely severe damage!

"Holy crap, am I dreaming or what?" Jenny couldn't help but slap herself across the face, her expression dazed.

The viewers were also stunned speechless. It took them quite a while to react:

[My god, this aircraft carrier is so fucking huge!]

[Judging by eye, it feels like it's seven or eight hundred meters long?!]

[This must be the crashed Aurora!]

[Has future technology already reached this terrifying level?]

"I... chat, I don't even know what to say anymore," Jenny's voice came out in stutters. "I always thought a scene like this would only appear in my dreams."

As she spoke, she kept staring fixedly at the distant Aurora.

She was completely absorbed in the sight, and not just her. The viewers in the livestream room felt the same way.

The crashed Aurora had a unique kind of beauty, but more than that, they had never seen such a realistic large-scale scene before!

They couldn't help wanting to keep looking.

While everyone was still lost in the scenery, a crisp female voice suddenly sounded in Jenny's ear:

"Emergency mode activated."

"Detected: Due to unknown causes, the Aurora has suffered a catastrophic failure. Current sole directive: Ensure user survival on the alien planet."

"Who's speaking?" Jenny reacted immediately, looking around nervously.

"Please do not be alarmed. I am Gaia." The female voice replied.

"Gaia?" Jenny was even more confused. "What Gaia?"

"Since the twenty-fifth century, every citizen of United States of America receives a government-issued artificial intelligence bracelet at age fifteen for daily life and work."

The female voice answered. "I am the AI system inside the bracelet, named Gaia. Has the user forgotten?"

"There's something like that?" Jenny was stunned!
