Chapter 22 - Study time

After the excitement in Hosu with the Hero Killer, the rest of our internship with Ryukyu was much calmer.

For the remaining four days, we did the same. Get up to train early in the morning, followed by a quick breakfast before patrolling for the rest of the day. Of course, Ryukyu couldn't be with us always, so we would go out a few times with either other sidekicks or with Nejire.

Once it was all over with, Momo and I were happy to get back to Musutafu. Thankfully, we had a single day to relax before school started. I don't know what Momo did, but I greatly enjoyed sleeping in that day.

Now we were back at U.A. Sasha seemed to be asleep on her feet, so I was safe for now, but I knew that once she woke up, she'd start teasing me again. That wasn't the worst of my problems right now, though. Aizawa had news for us.

"I'm sure you all had a great time with the heroes you interned with." He gave a pointed glare at Ida and Izuku. "Now it's time for the next big thing you need to be aware of: Final Exams. The finals will consist of two tests, a written and a practical. I expect you all to study hard and keep your skills sharp.

Once that is done, it'll be time for summer break. The school is thinking of planning a summer training camp for the hero course this year, so I'd do well during the exams, because if you don't your going to be stuck learning with me during the summer."

A few shivered at the thought of being stuck with Aizawa in a classroom over the summer, and Momo was already getting looks. She would probably help them, as would Ida, I think? I'm ok for now, there are a few things I don't understand with the math and Japanese history section, but I should be fine.

For now, I just focused on the day as I tried to stay awake. It was made more difficult by the cold temperature of the room. Since I was wearing this uniform, my body was warm, and I felt sleepy. Sasha and Momo didn't let me sleep, though, not even letting me rest my eyes!

Every time I felt my eyes barely shut, I'd either get kicked under the desk by Momo or Sasha would smack my leg with her tail. It wasn't that hard to deal with, but the constant back and forth left me slightly agitated once lunch rolled around.

When the bell rang, I was the first to shoot up and out of the class as Momo was swarmed by others needing help for the exams. Once I made it to the lunch room, I grabbed my food before sitting down and digging in with gusto.

Sasha ended up being the next to arrive since Shoto was also being begged for help. "You two are evil," I murmured between bites as Sasha smiled at me. "Quit being a baby, if you need somewhere to sleep soundly, you can come over later~"

I nearly died from suffocation at her words as she laughed with glee. "I don't even know why I'm surprised at this point," Shoto said dryly as he took his seat. I kept trying not to die as Sasha just laughed some more.

She also showed off some more pictures she took while with the pussycats, plenty of mountain scenery, and lots of rocks and animals. There were also lots of funny pictures of her and a blonde woman doing stupid things.

Momo eventually made it to the table after promising everyone to tutor them later. She didn't mind it; she'd already told us of her plans to have everyone who needed help over to her house to teach them all.

She'd even convinced Bakugo to help out, despite his attitude; he was no idiot. "I'm so glad that you will all be coming over. I've been wanting to find a way to invite everyone for a few weeks now."

Momo talked our heads off during lunch once we finished our food. She'd already started planning what snack to put out and which room she'd be using. Sasha was already helping her plan things as Shoto, and I got more food.

A few days later, it was time for us to meet at Momo's house.

"Is that a peacock?" Shoto and I watched the bird strut across the walkway. It honked at us once before moving on as we walked up to the main door. One of the housekeepers announced our arrival as Momo appeared to drag us into her mansion.

'Despite seeing her house in the show. It's never really sunk in just how rich her family is until now. . .' We walked past several paintings and portraits of the various members of Momo's family. Some looked like businessmen, but quite a few were also in hero costumes.

"I wasn't quite sure about what snack to provide. Sasha gave me too many options, so I just got all of them." Momo said as we entered a massive library. The ceiling was easily 10 meters tall, with massive bookshelves that were filled to the brim.

The far wall opposite us was a massive window, letting natural light flood in as we laid eyes on the massive table full of snacks and drinks. Shoto drifted towards the books, while I took off towards the snacks as Momo went to get the others who were arriving.

"Don't eat everything, save some for me!" Sasha shrieked when she walked in as Kirishima went over to Shoto. More and more people showed up: Bakugo, Ida, Toru, Mina, and a few others. Once everyone was there, Momo went into teacher mode as she organized us based on what we needed to work on.

Since my grades were solid, I just floated around and made sure everyone was paying attention. A few times, I had to poke Sasha to keep her focused on her math work while also making sure Bakugo didn't kill anyone.

It was a bit funny to see Jiro and Kaminari work together to survive Momo's lesson, but they seemed to be doing better than Bakugo and Ida. Those two couldn't go five minutes without arguing about something, with poor Kirishima and Toru having to break them apart at times.

Eventually, Momo called for a break since even she could tell when people's brains were about to melt. I relaxed by the massive window, enjoying a nice drink and the comfy chair as everyone else explored the various books in the library.

Mina and Toru obviously wanted to explore the rest of the mansion, but couldn't because the housekeepers were deep-cleaning for the month. Momo did promise to have everyone over again this summer. "SLEEPOVER!" Mina exclaimed as Toru bounced around the room in excitement.

We hit the books again and stayed on track for another few hours until the sun started to set. Momo was kind enough to provide everyone with a ride home if they needed it. Bakugo and Kirishima walked back, but a few who lived farther away, like Mina and Ochako, were glad for the lift.

Shoto and I walked home; not much conversation happened since we'd done plenty of speaking during the study session. Sasha, of course, had plenty to say as she followed us to the station, but other than that, we enjoyed watching the sunset.
