Chapter 887: Identity Revealed, The Four Little Ones' Shock! Satania Wants to Be a Disciple
Ren smiled, projecting the perfect image of a friendly upperclassman. "Hello everyone. I'm Ren, a third-year student here." He let his gaze drift over the four girls, feigning mild curiosity. "You all look a bit unfamiliar. Are you new students?"
He smoothly steered the derailed conversation back on track.
"Hello, Senior!" Vignette quickly stepped up, eager to maintain a facade of normalcy. "We're second-year transfer students. My name is Vignette April Tsukinose, and these are my classmates, Gabriel White Tenma and Raphael Ainsworth Shiraha." She gestured to the red-haired girl striking a dramatic pose beside her. "And we are all Satania's good friends."
"Tch." Gabriel clicked her tongue, her expression souring into a lazy pout. "Who's actually friends with that idiot?"
"Exactly! Exactly!" Satania crossed her arms, throwing her head back with a haughty laugh. "I am a Great Demon of the Underworld, and she is my destined archenemy!"
Vignette's face flushed a deep, embarrassed red. She frantically waved her hands, shooting panicked glares at the two troublemakers. Are they trying to expose our identities on the first day?!
Ren didn't miss a beat. He leaned in slightly, his lips curling into a knowing smirk. "Angels and demons playing house as friends... Now that's truly interesting."
The casual remark dropped like a live grenade.
Vignette froze, the color draining from her face. Raphael's perpetual, gentle smile vanished; her usually closed eyes snapped open, revealing a sharp, calculating gaze that locked onto Ren with intense vigilance. Even Gabriel and Satania instantly ceased their bickering, their heads whipping around to stare at him.
"Ah... haha..." Vignette forced a stiff, mechanical laugh, cold sweat beading on her forehead. "What are you saying, Senior? Angels and demons? I-I don't understand what you mean..." She tried desperately to muddle through the crisis.
Ren's dark eyes reflected no amusement, only a deep, piercing clarity that seemed to strip away all their secrets.
"I'm talking about you," he said, his voice dropping to a calm, measured cadence. "Let's just put the cards on the table. Vignette, Satania—two little demons straight from the Underworld. Gabriel, Raphael—two little angels descended from Heaven." He chuckled, the sound dry and relaxed. "The four of you hanging out together... no matter how you look at it, it's a fascinating combination, isn't it?"
Silence.
A heavy, suffocating silence descended over the corridor.
This was no lucky guess. The human standing before them had completely and effortlessly seen through their divine and demonic disguises. The four girls exchanged tense, uncertain glances.
"Mr. Ren..." Raphael stepped forward, her voice losing its usual playful lilt, replaced by a cold, serious edge. "Who exactly are you?"
The man before them was dangerously enigmatic. They had to tread carefully.
"Me? I'm no one special." Ren spread his hands in a nonchalant shrug. "Just an ordinary guy with a little bit of power."
It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the truth either. His true titles—Administrator of the Doomsday Chat Group and a prime candidate for the Lord of Ten Thousand Worlds—were concepts far beyond their pay grade. They simply weren't qualified to comprehend that level of existence.
Raphael slowly shook her head, her golden hair swaying. "I find it very hard to believe that someone capable of seeing through our true forms is merely 'someone with a little bit of power'." She raised a hand, faint traces of holy light gathering at her fingertips. "Our identities must remain an absolute secret. If you are unwilling to explain your origins, Mr. Ren, we will have no choice but to erase this memory from your mind."
It wasn't an empty threat. The air hummed with latent mana as Raphael prepared to cast a high-tier memory-alteration spell.
Ren just smiled, entirely unfazed by the gathering holy energy. "The parlor tricks of you little angels are completely useless against me." He casually slipped his hands into his pockets. "Besides, the middle of the school hallway isn't exactly the best place for this conversation. Let's change locations."
The moment the last syllable left his lips, the world warped.
Without a sound, the five of them vanished from the campus. The surrounding students continued walking, chatting, and laughing, completely oblivious to the sudden disappearance, as if the group had never existed in the first place.
"This is—!!!"
The scenery snapped back into focus. Vignette, Gabriel, Raphael, and Satania stumbled, their eyes widening in absolute shock as they took in their new surroundings. They were standing in the middle of a massive, opulent manor.
Raphael felt a cold chill run down her spine. The ambient energy here was terrifyingly dense. "How is this possible...?" she murmured, her sharp eyes darting across the architecture. "The laws of reality here... they bend to a single will. Has this place been forged into an independent world?!"
She might not have been a top-tier combatant in Heaven, but her perception was peerless. She instantly recognized that the fundamental rules of this space were entirely detached from the outside universe. It was a self-sustaining domain.
"Wishing comes true?"
While Vignette and Raphael were paralyzed by the existential implications, Gabriel and Satania latched onto the most crucial part of that deduction. Their eyes practically turned into sparkling stars.
"Wait, can wishes really come true here?!" Satania gasped. Throwing her arms toward the ceiling, the little demon screamed at the top of her lungs, "I want endless melon pan!"
Plop.
A split second later, a perfectly baked, individually wrapped melon pan materialized out of thin air and dropped squarely onto her head.
Satania blinked, looking up.
It was melon pan.
A lot of melon pan.
Like a torrential downpour of baked goods, hundreds of golden, sugary pastries rained from the ceiling. Under the utterly bewildered gazes of Vignette, Gabriel, and Raphael, a literal mountain of melon pan rapidly formed, burying the red-haired demon alive.
"Ahahahaha! So many! There are so many!" Satania burst out from the pile, hugging a massive stack of pastries to her chest. A snot bubble of pure, unadulterated bliss expanded from her nose.
Witnessing this blatant abuse of cosmic power, Gabriel refused to be outdone. She pointed a demanding finger at the floor. "I want the highest-spec gaming PC and every next-gen console on the market!"
Flash.
A sleek, liquid-cooled gaming rig, complete with triple curved monitors, a mechanical keyboard, and a stack of brand-new consoles materialized directly in front of her.
"Holy crap, this is amazing!" Gabriel dropped to her knees, reverently stroking the tempered glass of the PC case. Then, a greedy glint flashed in her eyes. "I also want money! Lots and lots of money for gacha microtransactions!"

Gabriel's smartphone immediately erupted into a flurry of rapid-fire banking notifications, the screen lighting up with endless zeroes.
"Gabriel! Satania! Stop it right now!" Vignette shrieked, lunging forward to physically drag the fallen angel away from the gaming setup. "You can't just demand things like this! Have you no shame?!"
The three of them instantly devolved into a chaotic, shouting mess of flailing limbs, flying pastries, and ringing phones.
Amidst the slapstick comedy, only Raphael remained still. She kept her eyes locked deeply onto Ren, her mind racing. What exactly is this place? The sheer, effortless manipulation of reality... it was even more exaggerated than the divine miracles of Heaven.
Ren watched the chaos unfold with a faint, amused smile. "This? This is my home. Welcome."
A few minutes later.
"Damn it... my beautiful melon pan... boo hoo hoo..."
"My ultimate gaming rig... my gacha funds..."
Gabriel and Satania sat side-by-side on the plush living room sofa, both sporting massive, smoking bumps on their heads. They sniffled pitifully, thoroughly disciplined by a furious Vignette.
A silent, elegantly dressed maid approached, placing steaming cups of tea on the table before them.
"Ah, thank you so much!" Vignette quickly accepted the cup, bowing her head in polite gratitude.
Ren took a slow sip of his own tea. Leaning back into his armchair, he looked at the group with a relaxed expression. "It seems you girls have quite a few questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Ask away."
The girls exchanged cautious glances. Raphael, recovering her composure, was the first to speak. "Mr. Ren, how exactly do you know about the existence of Heaven and the Underworld?"
Ren simply pointed a finger toward the window, gesturing to the sprawling, reality-defying estate outside. "Everything you see here was created by me with a casual flick of my wrist. I think you're perceptive enough to understand the scale of my power." He set his teacup down. "To put it simply, there is virtually nothing in this world that I do not know. Save for one specific unknown."
The 'unknown' he referred to, of course, was the ever-looming threat of the Cognitive Doomsday.
"also," Ren continued, his tone casual, "what you call 'Heaven'and the'Underworld' are incredibly weak from my perspective. So, you really don't need to sit there trembling, worrying that I harbor some malicious intent toward you." He offered a warm, disarming smile. "I just want to make friends."
Well, craving their bodies isn't exactly a bad idea either, he mused inwardly, his pragmatic lechery flaring up for a brief second.
"I... can't even refute that." Raphael's shoulders slumped in defeat, the sheer gap in their power levels crushing any argument she could mount.
"Wait, is this Great Person really more powerful than the strongest demon?!" Satania whispered loudly, her eyes wide.
Vignette nodded grimly. "Everything in this space... it's the equivalent of creating an entirely new world from scratch. The Underworld doesn't have the power to create a world."
"Neither can Heaven," Gabriel chimed in, her usual lazy demeanor replaced by a rare moment of solemnity.
"Exactly," Vignette concluded. "So, it's only natural that Mr. Ren, possessing such unfathomable power, exists on a plane far beyond what Heaven or the Underworld could ever compare to."
Upon hearing that absolute confirmation, Satania's eyes practically ignited with sparkling intensity. Her gaze darted back and forth as the gears in her head spun at maximum capacity. In a flash, she made her decision.
She lunged forward, sliding across the floor to stop directly in front of Ren. Throwing herself forward, she slammed her forehead against the floor in a flawless, full-body dogeza.
Vignette could only watch in dumbfounded horror as the red-haired demon screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Master! Please accept me as your disciple! Teach me how to become the Ultimate Great Demon!!!"
