Chapter 751: The Birth of the Physical Angel Aiwass, an Emotion Called Fear! Say Hello to Aleister!
"Hahahahahahaha!"
Accelerator, of course, wouldn't die from such an impact.
He stood up from the shattered container, clutching his forehead and laughing wildly.
A moment later.
The laughter stopped.
He looked up.
Anger and killing intent overflowed from his crimson eyes.
"I'll kill you all! Ah hahahaha!"
Boom!!!
A strong wind suddenly blew, gathering entirely towards Accelerator's direction.
Above his head, a terrifyingly energetic plasma orb condensed.
"Something's wrong, something terrifying is coming!"
Kinuhata Saiai's legs turned to jelly.
"Mugino, let's just run!"
Frenda, who was even more pathetic than Kinuhata Saiai, was already prepared to bolt.
She couldn't die here.
She still had a younger sister to protect.
"Whoever dares to run, I'll kill them!"
Mugino Shizuri's eyes were grim.
She wasn't joking.
She would not hesitate to kill anyone who disobeyed her orders or proved to be a traitor.
"..."
Frenda's body stiffened.
Her small face crumpled in a cry.
"But if we stay here, we'll die! They're the First and Second Rank Espers!"
Takitsubo Rikou's expression was solemn.
"Mugino, if that thing comes crashing down, we probably can't stop it, except for you."
The AIM diffusion field emanating from Accelerator was clearly and unprecedentedly massive.
Mugino Shizuri still trusted Takitsubo Rikou's ability.
She clicked her tongue in annoyance.
"Tsk, is the gap really that huge?"
"Heh?"
Kakine Teitoku sneered.
"Though we are all Espers, there are still strengths and weaknesses. You, ITEM, are not worth mentioning."
He disdained the existence of ITEM.
Just like the name of their organization.
Item?
In his eyes, they were merely toys used by those Board of Directors members to clean up dirty work.
What right did they have to compare themselves to him?
His goal was Aleister, the General Superintendent, the true existence who controlled Academy City from behind the scenes.
"What did you say?"
Mugino Shizuri's veins instantly bulged.
She hated being looked down upon more than anything in her life.
Especially by Misaka Mikoto, the Third Rank; she was equally annoyed by others being above her.
"Wait, Mugino, look there!"
Takitsubo Rikou suddenly shrieked in terror.
"Ugh!!!"
The next second, she strangely vomited.
"???"
Everyone wondered what had happened.
"And who are you, seeking death here?"
Accelerator's wild, jagged laughter stopped abruptly. The madness in his eyes paused, replaced by a flicker of confusion.
A person with an extraordinary aura had appeared before him.
It wasn't a teleportation that displaced air; it was as if reality itself had been overwritten to include him. Ren Kazama stood there, his presence alone silencing the howling winds of the container yard.
Ren, who had just arrived in this world, ignored the albino monster entirely. He looked up at the night sky, his golden eyes narrowing slightly.
"The world and its phases want to repel me?"
He felt it the moment he arrived. The physical laws of this scientific world—the pure mathematics and physics—and the myriad magical phases layered upon it like onions skins, all screamed in rejection. The immune system of the universe was trying to purge a foreign virus.
He merely felt that this repulsion was lighter than air, crushed into nothingness by a single thought from him.
He had already anticipated that this world's rules were rigid, built on complex layers of magic and science, so he wasn't surprised.
Because in any case, magnitude determined everything.
If he wished, a casual breath could annihilate everything in this world—the science side, the magic side, and the hidden phases in between.
He then lowered his gaze, looking at the swirling sphere of superheated plasma hovering ominously above Accelerator's head. The compressed wind and heat roared like a trapped beast.
A hint of nostalgia appeared in his expression.
"Plasma, vectors... such an ancient ability."
He still remembered a long time ago, back when he was climbing the ladder of power, he had relied on the power of vector manipulation to display great might in various worlds. It felt like seeing an old toy from childhood.
He casually reached out his hand and made a pinching motion in the air.
"!!!"
Accelerator's face drastically changed. His red eyes widened in disbelief, the veins in his neck bulging as he tried to assert his calculations.
His vectors... were no longer under his control?
The plasma he had created—his masterpiece of destruction, born from the manipulation of air currents—unexpectedly floated completely out of his control. It drifted gently into Ren's hand like a balloon, defying the laws of thermodynamics Accelerator lived by.
"A bit small."
Ren muttered, weighing the destructive sphere in his palm.
He tossed it upwards.
What happened next left everyone—ITEM, Kakine, and Accelerator—dumbfounded and blank-eyed.
The sky of Academy City… lit up.
The plasma didn't dissipate. It expanded.
An enormous plasma sphere, expanding like a newborn sun, completely enveloped the entire Academy City. It shone brilliantly in the night sky, turning the dark night into a blinding noon. The artificial light cast long, terrified shadows across the concrete jungle, illuminating every corner of the district.
"This… how is this possible?"
Kakine Teitoku was bewildered. His six wings of Dark Matter flickered erratically behind him.
He didn't care about the plasma itself; plasma was just ionized gas.
But the physical rules within it were completely unlike ordinary plasma. It defied entropy. It defied the conservation of mass.
Those were physical laws that absolutely should not exist in a world that had extinguished.
Matter that expanded infinitely, completely disregarding the principle of energy conservation, even more primordial and alien than his own Dark Matter. While his Dark Matter was matter that didn't exist in this world, this plasma felt like matter that ruled over it.
This plasma indeed carried an aura of infinity.
Ren merely made it expand for a fleeting moment before condensing it back to the size of a soccer ball in the blink of an eye.
Whoosh!
The light vanished as quickly as it appeared, leaving spots in everyone's vision.
But the magnitude of energy within the small sphere had not decreased at all; instead, it was exceptionally condensed. A black hole of pure energy, vibrating with the power to shatter continents.
He gently pointed a finger in one direction.
The small, but sufficiently powerful plasma, capable of easily blowing up an entire planet, flew towards… District 7.
Specifically, towards the Windowless Building.
"Dong!"
A sound like a massive bell resounded throughout Academy City. It wasn't an explosion; it was a resonance of pure power hitting an absolute barrier.
Data-like patterns connected the exterior of the Windowless Building, acting as a shield, enveloping the plasma sphere and struggling to contain its mass.
Inside the Windowless Building.
The vast, empty space filled with machinery and life support systems was usually silent. But now, it hummed with alarm.
Aiwass, the Holy Guardian Angel, the entity of a higher dimension, for the first time shed her playful and relaxed demeanor in front of Aleister. The golden, electromagnetic entity flickered violently, her form destabilizing.
Crowley... an incomprehensible existence has descended upon this world...
Gurgle, gurgle!
Bubbles in the red life-support container violently gurgled out.
Aleister Crowley, the human who had abandoned humanity to destroy magic, had opened his eyes at some unknown point. His upside-down form floated in the liquid, his gaze piercing through the metal walls.
His gaze was fixed on Ren, who transcended space to look directly at him on the screen. Their eyes met across distance and dimension.
"Just saying hello, don't get excited."
Ren suddenly said this, his voice echoing inside the sealed building as if he were standing right next to the tube.
Crowley, it's unbelievable... Aiwass's voice vibrated with a frequency akin to panic. My power is experiencing fear... but I am an angel of physical law, why can I experience fear that only humans possess? This entity... he is overwriting the definition of fear itself.
Aleister: "..."
Things had far exceeded his expectations. The plan—the Great Plan spanning a century—was crumbling.
Aleister felt regret for the first time. He realized he had miscalculated a variable that didn't just exist outside the equation, but one that erased the chalkboard entirely.
Back at the container port.
"You, who exactly are you?"
Accelerator stared intently at Ren, his body trembling. It wasn't just rage anymore; it was a primal shaking he hadn't felt since he first discovered his power.
Vector manipulation even stronger than his own?
This was impossible!
His vector manipulation, his computational power, should be the strongest in Academy City. He was the One Way Road! He was the monster who reflected the world! How could someone simply... take it?
Ren didn't answer. He didn't even look at the First Rank.
Ren hadn't said anything yet.
Takitsubo Rikou, enduring her physical discomfort and the overwhelming nausea caused by Ren's mere presence, stood up and screamed in terror:
"Mugino! Run! All of you, run! That guy is a monster!!!"
"..."
Kinuhata Saiai twitched her lips, her face pale as a sheet. Her trembling hand pointed behind her, towards the exit path that seemed miles away.
"Ri-Rikou... it seems we can't... can't run away..."
The air pressure had changed. The space around them had solidified.
A hand rested heavily on Takitsubo Rikou's shoulder.
"Ladies, was your mission to kill everyone here? Very courageous of you."
Ren said with a smiling expression.
"!!!"
Takitsubo Rikou's body stiffened.
Mugino Shizuri's entire body was tense, her expression extremely grim.
Even if Takitsubo Rikou hadn't said anything, she wasn't blind.
The power he had just displayed, capable of completely leveling the entire Academy City, was absolutely beyond her reach.
