Lucious's face turned sour. "You cannot do that!"
"I can," Vael said, turning to face his uncle with eyes that blazed with barely contained fury. "I am Alpha of this House. My authority is absolute. And I have made my decision."
"This is an abuse of power," Julio blurted out, stepping forward with his finger raised and his face flushed with outrage. "You can't just ban us from council meetings. The traditions of this House—"
"The traditions of this House do not include the spreading of false accusations against the Luna. Do not include the attempted suborning of witnesses. Do not include the deliberate destabilization of the Alpha's authority." Vael said, his voice cold, staring straight at him
