Chapter 5 - Connection to a New World

Chapter 5: Connection to a New World

It was impossible.

Tsunade, who had finally calmed down, sat in thought. She possessed absolute confidence in her own strength, and even greater confidence in her chakra control.

As a world-class medical ninja, her mastery over her own chakra had reached its peak long ago. Because of that, she knew with absolute certainty that the flick she had delivered earlier could not have possibly damaged this man's head.

"Connected."

Just as Tsunade was about to open her mouth to ask what kind of madness he was playing at, Yumesaki suddenly sat bolt upright. He stared at her with a sharp, piercing gaze, his eyes seemingly shimmering with an inner light.

"Connected? What's connected?" Tsunade didn't react immediately.

"My ability," Yumesaki said. "It has connected. No—it was a success."

"What on earth are you talking about?" Tsunade's confusion only deepened.

Yumesaki pointed to the slightly reddened spot between his eyebrows. "The moment your finger hit my head with that Air Bullet, I felt as if my mind suddenly became crystal clear."

"A faint, mysterious sensation told me that my ability is now ready. I can finally connect to a new world."

Hearing this, Tsunade couldn't help but widen her eyes. She stared at her own finger in disbelief.

"Does my Air Bullet actually have a function like that? In that case, maybe I should hit you a few more times."

"Go hit your own head," Yumesaki snapped, giving her a sharp glare. "I told you earlier it would be 'soon.' It just so happened that the ability became available right when you struck me. It had nothing to do with your hit."

"Hard to say. What if there really is a connection?" Tsunade said with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Yumesaki eyed her suspiciously. "I think you're just looking for an excuse to teach me a lesson."

Feeling underestimated, Tsunade crossed her arms over her chest, making her ample curves even more prominent. She let out a cold huff. "Am I really that kind of person?"

Yumesaki nodded without a second thought. Yes, you are exactly that kind of person.

Seeing Tsunade's eyebrows twitch as she prepared to flare up in anger, he quickly changed the subject. "So, do you still want to go to a new world or not?"

Only then did Tsunade suppress the irritation in her heart. "Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

"Now?"

"Right now."

Tsunade stood up abruptly from the tatami mat. She was fully awake now, her breakfast was finished, and it was the perfect time to explore another world.

"Aren't we going to wait for Shizune?" Yumesaki asked.

As Tsunade's disciple and attendant, Shizune was also aware of Yumesaki's existence and the other worlds. She had even read Naruto. She was one of the few who knew the secret.

Tsunade waved her hand dismissively. "Having her there adds nothing, and her absence changes nothing. God knows how much that girl drank with her friends yesterday. No need to wait. I can't stay still another minute. We're leaving now. Immediately. This very second."

Seeing her resolve, Yumesaki didn't argue further. Tsunade's strength was formidable; as long as they weren't assassinated the moment the door opened, having her as a bodyguard was more than enough.

He stood up, took a few steps forward, and placed his hand on the large door of the Japanese-style living room.

This was the world of Naruto, specifically the Senju Clan estate. The main door to the room wasn't a swinging door, but a sliding shoji.

However, that didn't matter. Yumesaki's ability worked as long as the object was a door. It didn't care if it was a swinging door or a sliding one, made of wood or stone, iron or a high-tech security gate. As long as it functioned as a door, it was a gateway.

He took a deep breath, activated his power, and slowly slid the living room door open.

Normally, the outside of this room should have been a hallway.

But what met the eyes of Yumesaki and Tsunade now was no longer a corridor. Instead, it was a brightly lit bedroom.

Inside the room was a woman, currently grooming herself in front of a large mirror.

She was a tall young woman with long limbs and striking features—a high, distinct nose, slender eyebrows, and deep blue pupils. Her skin was porcelain white, and she wore her hair in a classic Hime cut.

She was dressed in a dark, feminine cowboy-style outfit that revealed her midriff, with a low neckline and a high-slit skirt that accentuated her beautiful silhouette.

As the woman attended to her appearance, she suddenly saw the door to her bedroom slide open through the reflection in the mirror. Two strangers, a man and a woman, stood at the threshold watching her.

Her alertness spiked to its peak instantly. As she spun around, she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Seis Fleur!"

In an instant, six arms sprouted from Yumesaki's body, poised to lock his movements. But before they could squeeze, the six arms suddenly went limp.

The moment the woman had begun to speak, Tsunade had already used the Body Flicker Technique. She appeared behind the stranger in a blur of speed, pressing a kunai firmly against her throat.

"Don't move."

Tsunade's cold voice echoed in the woman's ear. A thick, tangible killing intent radiated from the blonde ninja, sending a shiver straight down the woman's spine.

The woman didn't doubt for a second that if she moved even an inch, the sharp blade would open her throat. She stayed perfectly still.

"Everyone, please stay calm."

At that moment, Yumesaki spoke up. He looked at the woman and said, "Ms. Nico Robin, please release your ability first. We aren't bad people. Tsunade, put the kunai away. We can all sit down and talk."

Indeed, the woman at the mirror was Nico Robin from the world of One Piece. Just as Yumesaki had recognized Tsunade at a glance, he knew exactly who this was the moment he saw her.

There was no mistaking it; the outfits of these two women were so iconic that a single look was enough to confirm their identities.

Tsunade didn't immediately follow Yumesaki's request to lower the weapon, seeing as the six extra arms were still attached to his body. Her icy killing intent didn't waver.

Seeing the standoff, Nico Robin's eyes flickered. She lowered her hands, and the six arms on Yumesaki's body instantly dissolved into flower petals before vanishing into thin air.

Yumesaki reflexively reached out to try and catch one, but his hand closed on nothing.

"A Devil Fruit ability... truly mysterious," he mused.

Only after seeing Robin release her hold did Tsunade withdraw her killing intent and sheathe her kunai. However, her gaze never left Robin. If the woman made even a single suspicious move, Tsunade would act without hesitation to eliminate her.

After all, Yumesaki's safety was tied to the fate of the Shinobi world. She couldn't afford to be careless.

On the other side, Nico Robin felt the pressure on her neck vanish and let out a silent sigh of relief. She couldn't help but ask:

"Who are you? Why have you broken into my room?"

Yumesaki replied with a smile, "If I told you we were from another world, would you believe me, Ms. Robin?"

Robin's expression shifted several times before she forced a thin smile. "Should I believe you... or should I not?"

Despite her words, her eyes were filled with a singular expression: I don't believe a word you're saying.

Yumesaki didn't expect her to buy it right away. Instead, he asked, "Where are we? Alabasta? Or another island?"
