Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: First Observer

At the edge of the field, a man stopped walking.

He was a farmer from a nearby plot of land. He had been passing by as usual, but something about this field made him pause.

The air felt… different.

Not magical.

Not powerful.

Just… calm.

Too calm.

He frowned slightly and stepped closer.

The moment he entered the area, he noticed something strange.

His breathing became easier.

His body felt lighter.

Even his thoughts seemed less chaotic.

"…What is this place?" he muttered.

Then he saw the young man.

Kneeling in the field, working steadily without pause.

Focused.

Serious.

Completely absorbed in his task.

And nearby, an old man simply watching in silence.

The farmer hesitated.

Something about this scene felt wrong—but not in a dangerous way.

In a… strange, natural way.

As if the world here was functioning slightly differently.

He watched the young man for a while longer.

The soil beneath the young man's hands looked better than the surrounding ground. More refined. More even.

"…Did he do that?" the farmer thought.

He shook his head.

That didn't make sense.

It was just farming.

But why did it feel like something deeper was happening?

He decided to leave before his thoughts went too far.

But he remembered the feeling.

And the field.
