Chapter 1 - Ch1: the case

Ch 1:

Detective Park Jin-Woo stared at the crime scene, his mind racing with questions. His cousin, Park Soo-Young, lay lifeless on the floor, a victim of murder. The room was eerily silent, except for the soft hum of the air conditioner and the rustling of the forensic team's gear.

Jin-Woo's eyes narrowed as he surveyed the area. Soo-Young's office was a mess, but it didn't look like a break-in. The killer must have had a key. His gaze landed on the computer screen, where a cryptic message glared back at him: "The debt will be paid."

"Looks like this is more than just a robbery gone wrong," Jin-Woo muttered to his partner, Detective Kim.

As they began questioning the staff, Jin-Woo's phone buzzed. It was his uncle, Park Hyun-Soo, the CEO of Hyundong Inc. "Jin-Woo, I need to see you. Now."

Jin-Woo's gut told him this was about more than just Soo-Young's murder. He arrived at the Hyundong headquarters, where his uncle's usually composed demeanor had cracked. "Jin-Woo, Soo-Young was blackmailing some of our biggest clients. I think it might be connected to her death."

Jin-Woo's eyes widened. "Who's behind it?"

Hyun-Soo hesitated. "I don't know, but I suspect it's an inside job. Tae-Oh's been acting strange lately, and Ji-Hyun's been receiving mysterious calls."

Jin-Woo's mind was spinning. His brother, Tae-Oh, and his aunt, Ji-Hyun, were involved? He needed to get to the bottom of this.

As he left the office, Jin-Woo received a text from an unknown number: "Meet me at the old warehouse at 10 PM. Come alone."

Jin-Woo's instincts screamed warning, but his curiosity got the better of him. He decided to investigate further, unaware that his family's secrets were about to be exposed.
