Ch 4:
Jin-Woo's eyes locked onto Tae-Oh's, his mind racing. "What's going on? What's Project Echo?"
Tae-Oh's grip on his arm tightened. "Not here, Jin-Woo. We need to get out of here before—"
The clock tower's creaking grew louder, and the bells stopped ringing. An eerie silence fell.
Suddenly, Alex Chen's voice echoed from the shadows. "Let them go. For now."
The doors creaked open, and Jin-Woo saw Alex standing outside, phone in hand. "Your ride's waiting. Go to the lab. Uncover the truth."
Tae-Oh pulled Jin-Woo out of the clock tower, into a waiting car. As they sped through Seoul's night streets, Jin-Woo's phone buzzed: a text with the lab's address and a message from an unknown sender: "Come alone."
Jin-Woo turned to Tae-Oh. "I'm going to the lab. You coming?"
Tae-Oh hesitated, then nodded. "I'll go with you. But Jin-Woo..."
"What?"
"I didn't kill Soo-Young."
Jin-Woo's eyes narrowed. Was Tae-Oh telling the truth?
