Zoey nodded.
"Yes, he just did." She said, then gestured toward the sofa near the window, inviting Sienna to sit with her.
"Ah... sorry," Sienna murmured awkwardly before walking over.
The two women sat across from each other, and out of habit, Sienna reached for the tea set on the coffee table.
"Would you like some green tea?"
Zoey smiled politely and shook her head. "No, thank you."
Sienna nodded before setting the teapot back down.
For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. The atmosphere was much calmer than it had been the day before. However, Sienna still found it difficult to believe how different Zoey seemed.
Finally, Zoey broke the silence. "Like I said, I came here to apologize to you." Her tone was gentle and sincere. "Not because Zach asked me to, but because I realized I went too far yesterday."
Sienna gazed into Zoey's eyes, searching for any sign of doubt behind her words. However, she found none.
