"Our bedroom is on the second floor," he continued softly. "Wait for me there. I'll be back before you go to sleep."
Sienna looked into his eyes for a long moment. She wanted to tell him not to go, to ask him to stay home with her and Skylar instead. But she knew this was something he couldn't ignore. Those men had hurt her, and Zachary would never allow them to walk away without facing the consequences.
In the end, she simply nodded.
"Take care," she whispered, her voice filled with quiet concern.
